La iniciativa seguiría siendo local, antes del minuto 50 el guardamenta polaco del conjunto catalán tuvo que intervenir con una gran parada al primer palo. El Barcelona supo responder con una acción ligeramente tentadora de Lamine Yamal.

Sin embargo 3 minutos después Forbs volvería a deshacer la línea fallida del Barcelona para adelantar a los locales con un disparo seco y preciso, a la par que suave. En el minuto 68 seguiría el particulat espectáculo de Lamine con un tiro que por poco ingresaría directamente en sus mejores obras. Pocos segundos después el VAR rectificaría un penalti de Balde sobre Forbs, al no haber un contacto claro del lateral español. A un cuarto de hora del final una acción nuevamente de Lamine terminarñia con un tanto en propia puerta por desvío de Sabbe.
El Barcelona seguiría buscando con desesperación el tanto de la victoria al ver que con el paso de los minutos el juego tendía a hacerse considerablemente lento. En el minuto 92 el portero culé intentaría un temerario recorte en el área que culminaría en un tanto local salvado por la campana por el VAR nuevamente.
