El central marroquí termina contrato en 2025 y ha rechazado las propuestas de renovación por parte de la directiva albiazul
Situación actual
El defensa de 25 años vive su mejor momento como profesional en la élite del fútbol. Debutante la temporada pasada en la Liga EA Sports, Abqar mostró un gran desempeño junto a su compañero Rafa Marín al frente de la zaga defensiva. Su gran hacer en su primera temporada en el Alavés llamó la atención de su selección nacional, Marruecos.
Convocado en varias ventanas de selecciones pero sin llegar a debutar en partidos oficiales, el pasado 6 de septiembre debutaba de forma oficial con Marruecos en un duelo con victoria por 4-1 ante Gabón en la clasificación rumbo a la próxima Copa África. Con contrato en vigor con el Alavés hasta 2025, el de Settat ha rechazado las propuestas de renovación.
La directiva albiazul se marcó la renovación de Abqar como uno de los puntos importantes a resolver. En esta misma situación se encontraba Javi López, pero el club decidió su traspaso a la Real Sociedad en vista de la decisión del lateral canario a no seguir en Vitoria y emprender una nueva aventura profesional lejos del club de su vida, el Alavés.
Pese a que en varios momentos de los meses de julio y agosto el acuerdo por ambas partes estuvo cerca de estrecharse, no se terminó de cerrar en los diferentes encuentros celebrados. Sin acuerdo firmado aún, se esperan nuevas reuniones entre jugador y club en busca de resolver el contrato del central marroquí.
Entre las diferentes situaciones en las que se encuentra el club con la situación de Abqar, la opción de una posible venta en invierno es una realidad. En el mercado de verano, el club rechazó las diferentes propuestas de fichaje de otros clubes. La ventana de invierno es posiblemente la última oportunidad de sacar rédito económico por un jugador que de momento, no tiene intención de seguir de la mano del club.
Trayectoria meteórica
Canterano del Málaga, el central llegó a debutar en partido oficial con el club andaluz en la temporada 18/19. Lo hizo en Copa del Rey en una única fecha, estando en disposición principalmente del Málaga B durante el resto de la temporada. Tras 4 temporadas en el club malagueño, recaló en la cantera del Alavés en la temporada 19/20. Con una participación importante en el filial del club albiazul, Abqar comenzó a completar las convocatorias del primer equipo.
El gran ascenso en su carrera llegó en la temporada 22/23. El club en segunda división apostó por García Plaza en los banquillos. En la pretemporada del conjunto de Vitoria, Abqar se hizo un hueco en los esquemas del entrenador madrileño que rápidamente lo alineó de titular. Siendo un fijo con el serbio Sedlar en la zaga, el zaguero marroquí fue uno de los grandes artificies del ascenso en Valencia del Alavés.
Con tan solo una campaña en la élite, llegó el debut la temporada pasada en 1º división. Con 27 partidos jugados, fue una vez más uno de los más destacados en el plantel de García Plaza. Esta buena temporada le ha proporcionado mucho a un conjunto albiazul que tenía la referencia de un gran central como Laguardia muy cercana. Abqar ha conseguido posicionarse como uno de los pilares más importantes de un conjunto en alza en la Liga EA Sports.
