Ya es oficial la llegada del jugador colombiano al Rayo Vallecano
Apenas hace 2 horas se ha oficializado la llegada del actual MVP de la Copa América al Rayo Vallecano en la temporada de su centenario.
Vuelve a LaLiga un James que ya estuvo hace años defendiendo la camiseta del Real Madrid quien lo fichó tras realizar un magnifico Mundial 2014.
Trayectoria
A sus 33 años, James Rodríguez llega al Rayo después de haber jugado en casi todos los continentes del mundo, aqui vamos a repasar un poco desde sus inicios hasta la actualidad del jugador cafetero.
Empezó en 2006, en las filas del club colombiano Envigado FC quienes confiaron en el joven James como un proyecto de mucho futuro haciéndolo debutar con solo 14 años en el torneo de la A, ese mismo año descendió el equipo.
Esta irrupción tan temprana en Colombia le provocó el interés de varios equipos, uno de ellos el Banfield, su próximo equipo que llegó como cedido durante dos años, debutó en la liga argentina con solo 16 años . En esas dos temporadas destacó convirtiéndose en una pieza muy importante para el equipo, en 40 partidos metió 5 goles y repartió 6 asistencias.
Pronto dio el paso a Europa, el FC Porto confió en el joven James para sus próximas tres temporadas. En Portugal jugó un total de 65 partidos, metiendo 25 goles y 29 asistencias, cifras de autentica importancia en Oporto siendo uno de los grandes ídolos de la afición.
El AS Mónaco lo fichó tras su paso por Portugal, tan solo estuvo una temporada en Francia ya que en 2014 tras el increíble mundial que se marca James el Real Madrid rápidamente lo ata para llevárselo al Bernabéu.
Su etapa mas importante posiblemente en el Real Madrid, tras desembolsar 80 millones por James, el Real Madrid confió en él para ser un jugador de presente y también de futuro en el club madrileño. su primera temporada fue la más destacable en Madrid jugando 30 partidos y aportando 26 G/A (13 goles y 13 asistencias), pese a esto las oportunidades en el conjunto blanco fueron disminuyendo provocando una perdida de confianza y de rendimiento por parte de James, a esto se le suma una época en el club de poca estabilidad deportiva con el paso de varios entrenadores.
En 2017, el Real Madrid decide cederlo durante dos años en el Bayern de Munich, donde jugó más y no fue malo s paso por Alemania pero tampoco brillo tanto como esperaba el club blanco, a su vuelta a Madrid esa temporada solo jugó 8 partidos ya que no contaba con el entrenador.
Acabada su etapa en Madrid, James decide dar un paso atrás para recuperar su nivel yéndose al Everton, de la mano de Ancelotti. Fue un buen paso en su carrera ya que se vio a un James más suelto y con algo más de confianza, su temporada si que es verdad que fue de más a menos.
Después de esa temporada en Inglaterra se fue a equipos como el Al-Rayyan donde las lesiones le tuvieron bastante apartado, el Olympiacos y el Sao Paulo.
En 2024, volvió a un torneo continental siendo la mayor figura de Colombia, con toda la confianza del país y coincidiendo por una de las mejores épocas de la Selección Colombiana en los últimos años, consiguió destacar volviendo al nivel que se conocía de James. En esa Copa América 2024 llegó a la final y fue el MVP del torneo y máximo asistente.
Estando en uno de sus mejores momentos de su carrera, James decide volver a Europa concretamente a España para demostrar su gran nivel, después de tener varios conversaciones con clubes españoles, firma un acuerdo con el Rayo Vallecano.
