Tras el incidente del Gran Premio de Mónaco con su compañero de equipo, Esteban Ocon salió en defensa de su reputación. El francés colisionó con Gasly durante la primera vuelta, provocando la retirada de este último de la carrera.
Gasly criticó públicamente a Ocon por no seguir las órdenes del equipo, y el director del equipo, Bruno Famin, insinuó la posibilidad de tomar medidas drásticas. Ocon respondió a las críticas en las redes sociales, lamentando la cantidad de abuso y negatividad que ha recibido en línea.

Adiós a Alpine, su casa durante años
Pone fin a una colaboración de cinco años entre el equipo y Esteban, durante la cual, Alpine y Esteban registraron su primera victoria en un Gran Premio en el Gran Premio de Hungría de 2021, un momento histórico para la marca, el equipo y el propio Esteban.
Esteban registró dos podios más durante sus cinco años, logrando el segundo lugar en el Gran Premio de Sakhir de 2020, su primera visita al podio en la Fórmula 1, y el Gran Premio de Mónaco de 2023, donde terminó en tercer lugar. Logró un mejor resultado: octavo en el Campeonato de Pilotos de 2022, contribuyendo al cuarto puesto del equipo en el Campeonato de Constructores ese año.
