El Barcelona traspasa a Asisat Oshoala a Bay FC (NWSL) por una cifra cercana a 162,ooo dólares, según informaciones. La delantera nigeriana acababa contrato en 6 meses. Firma con Bay FC hasta 2026.
Oshoala llegó al equipo blaugrana en 2019 procedente del fútbol chino. La delantera se hizo de un espacio en el club catalán, aceptando su rol de muchas veces ser suplente y nunca tuvo un mal gesto, ni mucho menos algún reproche, siempre trabajaba para el equipo. Tenía conexión con Mariona y Alexia, que la buscaban constantemente al espacio para generar peligro en el área rival. Esta temporada la delantera nigeriana había perdido el protagonismo en el equipo, aunque disputó 14 partidos, solo 3 de ellos inició de titular y anotó 8 goles.

Oshoala lo comunicó está tarde en sus redes sociales y quiso dedicarles unas palabras al club, a sus ex compañeras y a la afición culé.
«Mientras me despido de este equipo y ciudad increíbles que han sido mi casa en los últimos cinco años, tengo sentimientos variados. Ha sido un honor absoluto y un privilegio poder vestir la camiseta del Barça y representar a este gran club», decía el comunicado de la nigeriana en sus redes sociales. «Desde que llegué en 2019 he tenido la oportunidad de ser parte de algunos de los momentos más importantes de la historia del club. Juntas hemos levantado trofeos y todo lo logrado es una prueba del trabajo duro realizado y la dedicación, y me siento afortunada de haber sido parte de este equipo».
«Pero más allá de los trofeos y premios, lo que más valoro son las relaciones que he construido con algunas de mis compañeras, entrenadores, ‘staff’ y nuestros increíbles fans. Se convirtieron en familia y siempre estaré agradecida por el amor y el apoyo que me habéis mostrado», añadía.
Y concluía: «Ahora afronto una nueva aventura y quiero que sepáis que el Barça siempre tendrá un lugar muy especial en mi corazón. Me llevo para siempre los recuerdos, las lecciones y las amistades que he ganado durante mi tiempo aquí. Gracias por todo. Me habéis dado mucho más de lo que nunca imaginé y seré siempre una representante orgullosa de este club».
