Según informó el medio marroquí Le360, Chadi Riad sufrió una grave lesión de rodilla durante la primera jornada de la Premier League, disputada este sábado, en la que el defensa marroquí fue titular con el Crystal Palace. La lesión hace temer un duro contratiempo en este inicio de temporada.

Eso es, al menos, lo que parecen indicar las imágenes de la lesión que sufrió este sábado durante el encuentro entre el Everton y el Crystal Palace, que terminó con victoria local por 2-0.
Cuando se disponía a disputar un balón y tras entrar en contacto con un jugador rival, el central marroquí cayó al césped y su rodilla pareció desalinearse durante la acción.
Las imágenes resultaron especialmente impactantes. El joven internacional marroquí quedó tendido sobre el terreno de juego, gritando de dolor, lo que obligó a la rápida intervención del equipo médico sobre el césped del Hill Dickinson Stadium.
Chadi Riad fue retirado inmediatamente en camilla, cubriéndose el rostro con la camiseta, una escena que hizo temer una nueva y larga ausencia para el defensa, que ya había atravesado una complicada temporada 2025-2026, marcada por los problemas físicos, después de haber permanecido cerca de dos años alejado de los terrenos de juego debido a una rotura del ligamento cruzado.
