Baptiste Santamaría ya es historia del Valencia CF. El conjunto de Mestalla anunció oficialmente la rescisión del contrato del centrocampista francés, que pone fin a su etapa como blanquinegro tras una única temporada y ya ha encontrado nuevo equipo. El futbolista continuará su carrera en el PAOK de Salónica, uno de los clubes más importantes del fútbol griego.
El acuerdo entre ambas partes permite al mediocentro iniciar una nueva aventura después de un curso en el que no terminó de asentarse como titular en los planes de Carlos Corberán.
Una temporada en Mestalla
Santamaría disputó un total de 22 partidos oficiales con la camiseta del Valencia CF entre LALIGA EA SPORTS y la Copa del Rey.
Su única aportación goleadora llegó en la quinta jornada del campeonato, cuando vio puerta frente al Athletic Club, siendo ese el único tanto que anotó durante su etapa como valencianista.
Aunque ofreció experiencia y trabajo en la medular, el francés nunca logró consolidarse como una pieza fija en el once, alternando titularidades con apariciones desde el banquillo durante gran parte de la temporada.
Despedida oficial
El Valencia CF confirmó la rescisión mediante un comunicado oficial en el que agradeció el comportamiento del futbolista durante su estancia en el club.
«El Club agradece su profesionalidad y le desea buena suerte en el futuro.»
La salida del centrocampista se enmarca dentro de la renovación de la plantilla que está llevando a cabo la dirección deportiva de cara a la temporada 2026-27.
Nuevo reto en Grecia
Pocas horas después de oficializarse su salida de Mestalla, Santamaría cerró su incorporación al PAOK de Salónica, donde intentará recuperar protagonismo en un equipo que volverá a competir por los puestos altos de la Superliga griega y en competiciones europeas.
El conjunto heleno incorpora a un futbolista con experiencia en el fútbol francés y español, confiando en que pueda aportar equilibrio y liderazgo al centro del campo.
Así, Baptiste Santamaría pone punto final a su breve etapa en el Valencia CF y abre un nuevo capítulo de su carrera en el fútbol griego, donde buscará volver a sentirse importante.
