«Igor Oca es el entrenador ideal para el Leganés»
Hoy, en Agente Libre, tenemos con nosotros a una figura muy especial para el fútbol madrileño y para el CD Leganés. Canterano del Real Madrid, protagonista en Primera División en varios equipos, leyenda del Rayo Vallecano y actualmente segundo entrenador del primer equipo pepinero tras su paso por el filial. Alberto Bueno, bienvenido.
P: Me gustaría empezar por tus inicios en la cantera del Real Madrid. ¿Cómo es el hecho de destacar en el Castilla, dar el salto al primer equipo y marcar en uno de tus primeros partidos?:
R: «Es fruto del trabajo bien hecho, de ese sueño que tenía de niño y de jugar en la calle con mis amigos. Tener la posibilidad de entrar en una estructura como el Real Madrid Castilla, dando pasos hasta llegar al primer equipo y poner el broche con esos partidos junto a los que eran mis ídolos. Siempre desde la tranquilidad y la seguridad en uno mismo de sentirte capacitado y con condiciones para hacerlo bien.»
Alberto Bueno: «Con jugadores como Raúl, Van Nistelrooy, Robben, Guti o Sergio Ramos aprendes a cada minuto»
P: En pocas semanas debutas en Copa, Liga y Champions y compartes vestuario con los mejores del mundo. ¿Cómo gestionas eso con solo 20 años?:
R: «Siempre me he caracterizado por ser una persona bastante segura y madura. El futbolista vive situaciones donde tiene que madurar rápido y entrar con 13 años en una cantera como la del Real Madrid te ayuda a formarte como persona y futbolista. Verte en un vestuario con esos nombres no es fácil, pero lo tomé como algo muy positivo. Soy muy observador y siempre abierto a aprender. Con jugadores como Raúl, Van Nistelrooy, Robben, Guti o Sergio Ramos aprendes a cada minuto.»
P: ¿Qué anécdota recuerdas de ese vestuario?:
R: «No recuerdo una anécdota concreta, pero sí el día a día de llegar a la ciudad deportiva con ilusión. Para mí no era rutina, era un premio. Soñaba con estar ahí entre ellos. Jugadores como Raúl, Van Nistelrooy, Pepe o Diarra eran muy cercanos con los canteranos y eso me hacía sentir muy cómodo y feliz. Otros tenían una personalidad más reservada, pero luego en el campo se transformaban y eran futbolistas espectaculares.»
Alberto Bueno: «Tenía la opción de quedarme en el Real Madrid, pero decidí salir para jugar en Primera. Estoy orgullo de esa decisión»
P: Tras formarte en el Real Madrid, ¿cómo fue tu salida? ¿Es difícil salir de un club así a nivel mental?:
R: «La salida hay que tomarla con cierta naturalidad. Estaba haciendo las cosas muy bien en el Castilla, debuté en Liga, Copa y Champions, y tenía la opción de quedarme en el primer equipo sin saber qué rol tendría con la llegada de jugadores como Kaká, Benzema o Cristiano. Decidí tomar la iniciativa y buscar jugar en Primera División, medirme cada fin de semana a los mejores. El Real Valladolid me ofreció un escenario donde poder hacerlo. Nunca sabremos qué habría pasado si me quedo, pero siempre he estado orgulloso de mis decisiones.»
P: Tras pasar por varios equipos llegas al Rayo Vallecano, donde explotas. ¿Qué sientes al ser una referencia del club en Primera?:
R: «La palabra leyenda me asusta un poco porque solo estuve dos años. Siento que fueron dos años maravillosos a nivel personal. Dejé un calado importante en la afición y la persona que sigue la actualidad rayista. Desde el primer partido caí de pie y hubo una conexión especial. El contexto de equipo, los compañeros y un entrenador como Paco Jémez, con un estilo ofensivo, me ayudaron mucho. Fueron dos años que exprimí al máximo con cifras goleadoras bastante destacable.»
Alberto Bueno: «Tenía una personalidad muy marcada para lo bueno y para lo malo. Me encantaba su forma de ver el fútbol»
P: ¿Cómo fue tu relación con Paco Jémez y qué sacó de ti?:
R: «Paco y yo nos habíamos enfrentado anteriormente en el Córdoba. Nosotros tenemos la posibilidad de con Valladolid ascender a Primera División, pero ya vimos que el Córdoba era un equipo muy marcado en una creencia y un estilo de juego ofensivo. Lo que más me llamó la atención fue su propuesta valiente, siempre fiel a su estilo. Prácticamente no se notaba si era un rival a parte alta, media o baja de la clasificación.. Eso nos daba seguridad ofensiva. Valoraba mucho su sinceridad conmigo. Sabía que tenía cualidades en los metros finales y consiguió potenciarlas.»
P: ¿Era tan exigente y temperamental como se dice?:
R: «Sí, tenía una personalidad muy marcada para lo bueno y para lo malo. Yo lo valoro muy positivamente porque sacó mi mejor versión competitiva. No rehuía la confrontación y eso le hacía ser foco mediático, pero nunca tuve conflictos con él. Me encantaba su forma de ver el fútbol. Ahora en este inicio como entrenador tal vez tenga unas cosas de Paco Jémez.»
Alberto Bueno: «Es difícil imaginar que vas a marcar cuatro goles en 15 minutos en Primera»
P: Marcaste cuatro goles en 15 minutos ante el Levante. ¿Qué recuerdas de ese día?:
R: «Todo se dio muy rápido. Son días que sueñas de pequeñito, pero es difícil imaginar que vas a marcar cuatro goles en 15 minutos en Primera. Fueron acciones de centro lateral donde interpreté bien las jugadas desde segunda línea y mis compañeros me encontraron. En cinco balones que toque hice cuatro goles. Si ves mi cara ese día, es de incredulidad. Todo pasa tan rápido que ni siquiera lo celebré de forma efusiva. Te choca que después de marcar un póker en Primera no te vuelvas un poco loco.»
P: Ni tú mismo te esperabas algo así, ¿no?:
R: «Para nada. En ese partido me movía con cierta facilidad. Todo fue muy rodado. Empezamos perdiendo 0-1 y el marcador acabó con un 4-2. Éramos un equipo muy ofensivo, con muchos jugadores de calidad como Kakuta, Yago Falquer, Jonathan Viera, Saúl Ñíguez, Jozabed, Rochina, Bebé, Trashorras o Manucho. Siempre creíamos en el fútbol ofensivo.»
Alberto Bueno: «Conseguir la permanencia marcó el crecimiento del club»
P: Llegas al Leganés en su primera temporada en Primera. ¿Cómo fue esa experiencia?:
R: «Venía de una etapa complicada tras una lesión en Oporto. Entro en un momento de encadenar varias cesiones. Se da en Granada, en Málaga y en Leganés. Llegar a mitad de temporada y adaptarse a un contexto y a la idea del míster es mucho más difícil. Aun así, creo que ayudé al club como el Leganés a estabilizarse en Primera con lo que eso conlleva. El Lega años atrás había sufrido situaciones complejas en categorías más bajas. Conseguir la permanencia, que fue en San Mamés, marcó el crecimiento del club e hizo que la entidad en todos los ámbitos y departamentos crezca día a día»
P: ¿Cómo fue tu adaptación a un equipo en plena lucha por la permanencia?:
R: «Había un vestuario muy sano y saludable. El club quería crecer siempre y sembrar cosas positivas a futuro. Se apoyaban en jugadores con experiencia como Siovas, El Zhar, Szymanowski, Rubén Pérez, yo o Mantovani ayudaban mucho. Las condiciones que antes habían son muy diferentes a las actuales. Esa unión de vestuario fue clave para creer en la permanencia. En esos momentos difíciles se crea un vínculo muy fuerte con la ciudad, la afición y el club.»
P: ¿Con qué compañeros te quedas de aquella etapa en Leganés?:
R: «Tengo muy buen recuerdo de muchos. Ahora comparto día a día con Mantovani y tenemos muy buena relación. Somos amigos. También con Rubén Pérez, Samu García o Diego Rico. Era un grupo con grandes personas y buenos profesionales. Fue un paso bonito. Es verdad que no aporté muchísimo o tanto como yo pensaba a nivel deportivo porque no conseguí tener una continuidad interesante. Pero sí aporte en esa permanencia que fue fruto del bien grupal del equipo.»
Alberto Bueno: «Me hubiese gustado aportar más en Leganés en cuanto a cifras se refiere»
P: Marcaste un gol en el 4-0 al Deportivo. ¿Qué recuerdas de ese día?:
R: «Fue una permanencia sufrida y trabajada. Era una plantilla en la que sabíamos que el grupo estaba muy por encima de las individualidades. Ese gol vino de un centro atrás de Samu García y rematé desde segunda línea con un balón cruzado. Siempre me ha gustado aportar goles y asistencias. Me hubiese gustado aportar más, pero me siento orgulloso de ese tiempo y lo que generé dentro de ese trabajo grupal.»
P: Nueve años después vuelves al Lega como segundo entrenador. ¿Cómo se da esa llegada?:
R: «Se da tras el cambio de entrenador. El cuerpo técnico del filial sube al primer equipo con Igor al frente. Ahí estábamos el míster, Iván, y yo. Ahí se coloca Igor y tres asistentes, además de un montón de personas en el staff y cuerpo técnico. Somos varios asistentes para ayudar y acompañar. Hay un gran staff y el aprendizaje es continuo. En verano me uní al club a la estructura de la cantera del Leganés. Me tocó una generación muy buena y a la vez estaba en el filial. Todo se ha dado muy rápido. Hay que estar bien preparado y formado para estar al nivel demandado en estas oportunidades.»
P: También estás cursando el UEFA Pro. ¿Qué te aporta esta formación?:
R: «A nivel académico tengo todos los niveles y, a nivel federativo, estoy cursando el UEFA Pro. Compartir con otros profesionales con experiencia en el fútbol aporta muchísimo. Somos unos 20 alumnos. El intercambio de opinión e impresiones siempre es bueno. Entre los que nos hemos enfrentado anteriormente o hemos jugado juntos, volvernos a juntar creo que siempre es bueno ver caras conocidas. Es un aprendizaje continuo y muy enriquecedor.»
Alberto Bueno: «Cuando surge la posibilidad de entrenar al primer equipo, lo tomamos con naturalidad, trabajo e ilusión»
P: ¿Cómo vivís el salto del filial al primer equipo tras la destitución de Paco López?:
R: «Nuestro foco estaba en el filial, en hacer un buen trabajo con los chicos. El mayor objetivo era acercarles al fútbol profesional. Pero cuando surge la posibilidad lo tomamos con naturalidad, trabajo e ilusión. Lo importante cuando entras es tener la mente limpia y hacer cosas que te han funcionado. También ayudar a los jugadores y darles un contexto favorable para rendir. Son los protagonistas y los que se tienen que sentir seguros.»
P: ¿Cómo es tu relación con el vestuario ahora como asistente de Igor Oca?:
R: «Me siento muy cómodo. El cambio de rol de colgar las botas, reflexionar sobre tu futuro y llegar a ser entrenador hay que hacerlo con naturalidad. El vestuario me toman como alguien que trata de ayudarles. Intento ser cercano y ayudar. Con algunos he sido compañero, con otros me he enfrentado. Ahora soy uno más dentro del grupo para que todo funcione dentro de esta pirámide.»
Alberto Bueno: «Hablar de equipos en los cuales he estado vinculado o debatir sobre futbol es algo que me encanta»
P: También pasaste por DAZN como comentarista. ¿Cómo fue esa experiencia?:
R: «Siempre me ha gustado el comunicar, tener la posibilidad de hablar de una manera personal y con respecto de lo que entendía dentro de lo que pasaba en el juego. He estado por medio de DAZN y Radio Marca. La posibilidad de hablar especialmente sobre equipos en los cuales había estado estrictamente vinculado, relacionado o hablar y debatir sobre fútbol es algo que me encanta. No soy fan de la polémica, al contrario, creo que soy fan de todo lo que pasa alrededor del fútbol con toda la educación del mundo. Creo que hacen muy bien su trabajo las personas que se mueven en este ámbito: periodistas, grabadores, comunicadores… creo que son unos fenómenos y a mí me han dado la oportunidad de convivir con ellos.
P: ¿Te gusta ese rol de comentarista/analista al que os dedicáis muchos jugadores tras retiraros?:
R: «Siempre digo que, hablando de fútbol, los entrenadores no tienen por qué ser todos personas o jugadores de fútbol que después, en una vida post-carrera futbolística, estén vinculados a la parte de entrenar y lo mismo siento en la parte de la comunicación. Creo que podemos aportar un prisma, una opinión o una experiencia interesante, pero creo que ese mix o ese tándem o ese dúo de personas que han vivenciado, han trabajado, han estudiado y han tenido una experiencia dilatada en la profesión son completamente necesarios. Personas, en este caso como yo, que he podido tener los dos puntos de vista, creo que vincular las dos cosas puede ser interesante.»
Alberto Bueno: «Muchas veces sentimos a DjMariiO, Ibai o Casillas como personas un poco inaccesibles y es justo todo lo contrario»
P: Hablábamos también de la Kings League, una competición más orientada al entretenimiento que al fútbol profesional. ¿Cómo viviste ese formato desde dentro?:
R: «Un formato, como bien dices, por un lado improvisado, por un lado creativo, con personas que están vinculadas a ese mundo del entretenimiento, de la comunicación, formatos que yo en ese momento tampoco atendía mucho a ellos y que creo que son gigantes en lo suyo. Muchas veces los sentimos como alguien un poco inaccesible y es justo todo lo contrario. En la posibilidad de convivir con DjMaRiiO, con Ibai, con muchos otros, con Iker Casillas como presidente y con otros tantos presidentes que han convivido en el día a día, todos y cada uno de ellos son gente excepcional. Me han hecho disfrutar de lo que más me gusta, que es jugar al fútbol, pasármelo bien en un formato más reducido donde creo que lo podía disfrutar mucho más porque estaba más en contacto con el balón. La verdad que encantado.»
«En los momentos malos el día a día ha sido aún mejor que en los buenos»
P: Pasando a la actualidad, ¿cómo afronta el equipo el partido del sábado contra el Málaga tras romper la dinámica en Butarque ante el Ceuta?:
R: «Encaramos todos los partidos como el más importante. Para nosotros fue muy importante sumar los tres puntos delante de nuestra afición. Veníamos de no haber sacado los puntos esperados contra Eibar y Cultural, y contra el Ceuta se dio un partido redondo, con cinco goles y esa sintonía con la afición. En el momento en el que estamos ahora es completamente necesario. Vamos a un campo como La Rosaleda, ante un equipo que está haciendo las cosas muy bien, con gente joven y una propuesta muy atractiva y ofensiva. La categoría nos ha dado ya la información suficiente para tomarlo como un partido vital para seguir generando cosas positivas. Lo bueno es que en las semanas donde hemos sumado de tres, el día a día siempre ha sido muy saludable, y en los momentos donde no salían las cosas, aún más. Siempre queríamos dar ese paso adelante, trabajar y que las cosas saliesen bien. Los jugadores han sido muy proactivos en cambiar la dinámica.»
P: A pesar de la racha sin ganar, comentabas que el día a día era positivo. Aún así, ¿se respira ahora más optimismo tras la última victoria?:
R: «Se respira que se hizo el trabajo bien hecho, que se consiguieron las cosas que trabajamos durante la semana. La victoria y llegar a un lunes después de ganar siempre es algo positivo. Sabemos que estamos por debajo del nivel de exigencia marcado, pero el objetivo es salir de esa zona de descenso y generar cosas positivas. Siento que hay mimbres para hacerlo. El míster tiene las ideas claras, sabe lo que quiere y lo que puede pedir a la plantilla, que también lo siente así. A partir de ahí, enfocar el partido del Málaga como el más importante.»

P: Si el equipo logra una racha positiva y se aleja del descenso, ¿veis posible soñar con algo más en el tramo final?:
R: «Ahora mismo soñamos con ganar esos tres puntazos en La Rosaleda. Son tres puntos marcados en rojo en el día a día porque son los siguientes. Hemos tenido partidos para buscar otros objetivos, engancharnos a la zona media-alta, pero no se dio. También para separarnos del descenso y tampoco lo conseguimos. A pesar de eso, hemos tenido partidos muy buenos y victorias importantes en casa. Ahora el objetivo es salir de esa zona complicada y distanciarnos de los equipos de abajo. Ese es el objetivo principal y en lo que nos enfocamos.»
P: De cara al futuro, si hacéis un buen final de temporada, ¿os veis continuando en el club?:
R: «Estamos encantados. Es un lujo el día a día que tenemos. Nos centramos en que en el partido de Málaga se den las condiciones para ganar. Es una pregunta más para el míster y el club. Desde mi punto de vista, lo único que puedo hacer es intentar que las cosas salgan lo mejor posible para ganar contra el Málaga. Todo el staff está enfocado en darle al míster las máximas garantías.»

P: ¿Qué significa para ti el CD Leganés?:
R: «El Leganés es un club donde como jugador he tenido la posibilidad de sentir un club humilde, con capacidad de crecer y progresar. Ahora lo refrendo desde una parcela diferente. Disfrutar de estar en el primer equipo con este cuerpo técnico hace que mi mayor objetivo sea que todo salga bien. Creo que está en la línea correcta, un club que en todos sus departamentos intenta hacer las cosas bien y con una política clara de dar oportunidades al jugador joven. Es lo que trabajamos, sumar los tres puntos cada fin de semana.»

R: «Hay jugadores veteranos y jóvenes. El grupo está por encima de los individuos.»
P: ¿Tu mejor amigo dentro del Leganés?:
R: «Me llevo muy bien con todo el staff. Es difícil decir uno, tengo buena relación con cantera y primer equipo.»
P: ¿El gol que más recuerdas en tu carrera profesional?:
R: «Uno al Valladolid en Zorrilla y otro con la selección española en la final contra Escocia.»

R: «El siguiente contra el Málaga.»
P: ¿La mejor afición visitante de España?:
R: «Visitamos ahora Málaga. Son los más cercanos. Es un club especial.»
P: ¿Un sueño como asistente en el Leganés?:
R: «Cumplir los objetivos y mantener esa cultura de trabajo y responsabilidad importante.»
P: ¿Un objetivo como entrenador?:
R: «Seguir mejorando, progresando y disfrutando del día a día.»
P: ¿A qué jugador te gustaría entrenar?:
R: «No tengo predilección, todos los jugadores son especiales.»
P: ¿Un jugador fetiche?:
R: «Raúl González como ejemplo, aunque mi ídolo siempre fue Ronaldo.»
P: ¿Cómo fue coincidir con Raúl en Madrid?:
R: «Fue todo un sueño. Siempre he dicho que Raúl por lo que proyectaba era el jugador que más me ha fijado.»
P: ¿Qué preferirías: salvarte en la penúltima fuera o en la última en Butarque?:
R: «Preferiría hacerlo mucho antes y celebrar las últimas jornadas con los deberes ya hechos.»
