Ser leyenda de un equipo de fútbol es el sueño de cualquier futbolista. Algo que en el momento de aterrizar en un club extranjero no te esperas. Tener el reconocimiento de ser una de las persona más importantes en la historia del escudo que año tras año has defendido, te llena de orgullo y satisfacción y es algo inolvidable. Todo esto, es lo que don Djené Dakonam Ortega ha logrado con el Getafe Club de Fútbol.
300 partidos y 100 victorias
302 partidos son los que el togolés ha disputado con su Getafe. El número 300, una cifra que superó quitándole el puesto a otra leyenda como es Damián Suárez, quién llegó a 295, llegó frente al Real Madrid. A pesar de no poder celebrarlo con una victoria, si lo haría la semana siguiente en Bilbao conquistando San Mamés, jugando todo el partido como siempre es habitual.
No solo consiguió esa cifra de partidos, sino que en la misma semana llegó a las 100 victorias. Ni el mejor guionista hubiera conseguido que el central consiguiera en dos jornadas seguidas, dos logros tan importantes para él.
Trayectoria en Getafe
Llegó a Getafe en la temporada 2017-18, misma campaña en la que volvía a primera división. Recientemente, contó como se dio su fichaje. Tenía, además de la oferta del equipo azulón, una del Levante. Salarialmente hablando, satisfacía más a sus intereses marcharse con los granotas pero decidió hablarlo con su madre para meditar cual debía ser el destino. Ella no dudó. Tenía que irse con Bordalás ya que era como un padre para él debido a todo lo que le había ayudado en su etapa en el Alcorcón. Una decisión de la que no se arrepiente.
Su equipo de procedencia era el Sint-Truiden belga en primera división. Un club que no costó olvidar porque el togolés cayó más que de pie en la zaga de los de Bordalás. En su primera temporada, solo se perdió 2 partidos de liga por acumulación de tarjetas y molestias. El nombre de Djené aparecía en todos los XI de revelación de aquel año. Ofensivamente, consiguió hacer un gol frente a la Real Sociedad, el único en su carrera con el ‘Geta’.
La campaña posterior fue magnifica, los únicos cuatro partidos que no jugó fueron por sanciones. Su portento y garra en defensa, hizo que ese año el equipo volviera a clasificarse a una competición europea 8 años después. Gracias a su nivel, equipos como Everton y Arsenal estaban dispuestos a pagar altas cantidades que oscilaban entre los 25 y 30 millones por hacerse con sus servicios. Pero tanto el club como el jugador sabían que su historia con los azulones no iba a acabar tan pronto.
Un fijo desde que llegó
Temporadas y temporadas después, el central ha sido un pilar insustituible para todos los entrenadores que han pasado por Getafe tras su llegada. Si contamos solo los partidos que ha salido de titular, con José Bordalás ha jugado 228 de 315. Con Quique Sánchez Flores fueron 56 de 66 y con Míchel los 7 que aguantó en el cargo.
A esto se le llama trabajo y constancia. No es fácil pasar a ser una pieza clave nada más empezar una nueva aventura y que tras 9 temporadas sigas siendo titular, aunque sin tener el nivel que llegó a mostrar hace unos años.
A pesar de que en los últimos dos años han sonado rumores de su salida al extranjero para retirarse fuera, siempre ha hecho fuerza por quedarse como ya hizo cuando los grandes ingleses estaban detrás de él. Una muestra de cariño importante que siempre es de apreciar. Es del Getafe de corazón y lo siente.
Épica celebración
Cada vez que se hacen con la victoria, reúne a los compañeros haciendo una piña. Hace su discurso y al acabarlo, se guarda »¡los 3 puntos, al bolsillo!» con su, ya mítico, gesto metiéndoselos de forma literal en el pantalón. Cada vez que el Getafe gana, todos esperan el vídeo con su celebración, que siguen sus compañeros al son de Dakonam.
Todo empezó la temporada pasada frente al Alavés en Vitoria, en la que ganó 0-1 con gol de Arambarri. Al acabar, se dirigió a la grada visitante haciendo ese gesto. Esto se viralizó en redes y se ha convertido en una tradición.
