Luke Browning se subirá al FW47 de Carlos Sainz en los libres 1 del Gran Premio de México. De esta manera completará una de las sesiones de libres obligatorias para rookies.
El británico está compitiendo en Fórmula 2 con el apoyo precisamente de Williams. Está haciendo una gran temporada situado en la tercera posición con 1 victoria, 9 podios y 1 pole.
No es la primera vez que Browning se sube a un Fórmula 1, ya que, debutó la pasada temporada en el Gran Premio de Abu Dabi con el mismo motivo. No obstante, este año ya ha disputado unos libres con la escudería de Grove en Baréin.
Con esta, Williams habrá cubierto tres de las cuatro sesiones obligatorias para rookies.

Por su parte, Sven Smeets, director deportivo de Williams, ha agregado: “Luke ha tenido una temporada fuerte en la Fórmula 2 hasta ahora, mostrando constantemente su ritmo en una variedad de circuitos y condiciones de carrera. Ha seguido apoyando al equipo a través de su trabajo en el simulador y el programa TPC, preparándose bien para su próxima sesión de entrenamientos libres. Esperamos verlo en la pista de México mientras consolida su experiencia como piloto de la Williams Racing Academy”.
