Taponen ficha por MP para su segunda temporada de Fórmula 3 en 2026

MP Motorsport ha anunciado a Tuukka Taponen como su último piloto para la temporada de Fórmula 3 de 2026. Con el finlandés, MP cierra su alineación con Alessandro Giusti y el debutando Mattia Colnaghi.

El piloto júnior de Ferrari ha tenido un gran año de debut en la categoría con ART. Ha sido el quinto mejor rookie, habiendo clasificado noveno y dejando grandes actuaciones, con las que ha conseguido tres podios.

El finlandés vuelve a la parrilla el próximo año con el objetivo de luchar por el campeonato con un equipo que ha sido tercero en Constructores esta temporada.

“Estoy muy contento de unirme a MP Motorsport para mi segundo año en la Fórmula 3. Es una noticia maravillosa tener confirmada mi futuro inmediato tan pronto. Significa que tengo un invierno productivo por delante con el equipo y la Academia de Pilotos de la Scuderia Ferrari, mientras trabajamos juntos para prepararnos de la mejor manera posible para la temporada 2026”, ha declarado Tuukka Taponen.

“MP es uno de los equipos líderes del campeonato, habiendo terminado tercero en la clasificación de equipos de este año, y espero formar parte de su familia y contribuir a su éxito”, ha añadido el júnior de Ferrari.

Por su parte, el director de la escudería holandesa, Sander Dorsman, ha hablado sobre el fichaje del finlandés: “En MP Motorsport, nos complace dar la bienvenida a Tuukka a nuestro equipo de Fórmula 3 para 2026. Desde su ascenso desde los karts, su rápido ascenso ha sido notable. Ha sido uno de nuestros rivales más acérrimos en los últimos dos años, por lo que contar con él para 2026 es una gran noticia”.
