Pero no quedaría ahí el choque, y sería a causa de un gol de Gordon, tras asistencia de Murphy, cumplidos los noventa minutos de partido. El resto del encuentro estaría marcado por una serie de intentos sin fortuna de los locales en lo que a remediar el marcador se refiere. El silbato final confirmaría la primera victoria del Barcelona en la presente UEFA CHAMPIONS LEAGUE.
