¿Por qué falló tanto la línea defensiva alta?
Durante el curso pasado, la forma de presionar del FC Barcelona brillaba por su gran efectividad. Jugadores como Ferran o Dani Olmo, normalmente se desentendían rápidamente de sus labores defensivas, permitiendo que el equipo de Vallecas aprovechará los huecos que nadie podía cubrir.
Estos fallos, aunque pueden parecer aislados, tenían consecuencias muy graves para una línea defensiva que normalmente tenía que correr hacia su arco en situaciones de desventaja, numérica y posicional. El equipo local, aprovechó estos deslices con pases largos en diagonal para dañar con jugadas punzantes en los carriles exteriores con sus extremos. Este tipo de servicios dejaba a Christensen y Eric desprotegidos al no tener a un lateral que regresará con gran velocidad. Aunque los centrales no fueron los únicos afectados por estas fallas estructurales, por su parte Frenkie de Jong también sufrió las consecuencias de estos errores, lo cual se destacará en el siguiente punto.
Frenkie de Jong, un señalado injusto
El centrocampista neerlandés fue señalado por distintos sectores del barcelonismo por tener un partido flojo, una afirmación muy alejada de la realidad. De Jong fue un gran sacrificado por las fallas en la presión, ya que al fungir como el «ancla» del FC Barcelona, si sus compañeros erraban en sus labores defensivas, él era quien pagaba los platos rotos. Todo funcionaba como fichas de dominó, al caer una pieza, todo se derrumbaba, si Olmo no ejercía su presión, Pedri tenía que cubrir un hueco tardíamente, causando así que Frenkie tuviera mucho espacio que abarcar, quedando en desventaja.
A pesar de todo esto, De Jong tuvo un partido destacado, claro, comprendiendo las situaciones de desventaja a las que comúnmente enfrentaba. El centrocampista neerlandés fue el máximo recuperador de balones del FC Barcelona. Junto a esto sus estadísticas más destacadas fueron:

El guardameta español, que apenas disputó su tercer partido oficial con el FC Barcelona, tuvo una actuación monumental en Vallecas. Gracias a sus enormes atajadas los dirigidos por Flick no sufrieron su primera derrota en el presente curso. García fue, sin lugar a duda, el elemento más valioso para el equipo culé. La primera gran atajada llegó en el 12′, saliendo unos pasos fuera de su arco, para así detener un disparó casi a puerta abierta de Andrei Rațiu. Su segunda gran acción llegó al 72′, salvando un disparo de Jorge de Frutos que buscaba incrustarse en el arco. Para concluir su gran actuacuín, sobre el cierre del partido atajó un feroz disparo de Isi Palazón en el 85′. Este último tiro de la estrella del Rayo Vallecano fue especialmente complejo al ir tan esquinado, pero Joan poniendo sus brazos evitó la caída final de su arco. ¿Qué sigue para el FC Barcelona?
Aunque la temporada recién este dando inicio, muy temprano hay un parón de selecciones. El FC Barcelona regresará a la actividad frente al Valencia CF el 14 de septiembre por la jornada 4 de LaLiga EA Sports. Esta fecha FIFA debería servir para que Hansi Flick cuestioné y replantee cosas a mejorar en su equipo, para mejorar el funcionamiento y los resultados.
