Ambos equipos buscaran los tres puntos en el Nuevo Mirandilla con dos proyectos nuevos, y totalmente distintos
El 17 de agosto a las 19:30 se enfrentaran en su primer partido de la temporada 25/26 de LaLiga Hypermotion el Cádiz CF y el Mirandés. El Cádiz llega tras una pretemporada con altibajos. Empezó con una dura derrota 1-5 frente al Leiria de la Segunda portuguesa, seguido de una victoria aplastante frente al Barbate por 0-5, y una victoria convincente frente a la UD Las Palmas por 1-2. Tras estos partidos, empataron frente al Granada 1-1, victoria por 0-3 ante el Al-Sadd, y la decepcionante derrota por 0-3 frente a la AD Ceuta. Finalizarían la pretemporada con un empate 1-1 ante el Córdoba en el Trofeo Carranza, que culminó con victoria en penalti del Cádiz.
Por su parte, el Mirandés viene con resultados muy negativos. Tres derrotas seguidas en pretemporada; 0-1 contra el Bilbao Athletic, 2-0 ante el Zaragoza y 3-0 ante el Osasuna. El único resultado positivo ha sido un empate 1-1 ante la Real Sociedad B. Los resultados en pretemporada no son muy esperanzadores.
El Cádiz y la lucha por los playoffs
El objetivo principal del Cádiz todos los años en Segunda son los playoffs, aunque con las salidas y llegadas que se han realizado en el equipo, no las tienen todas con ellos. Garitano en reiteradas ocasiones ha pedido más fichajes y de mayor calidad, pues el mismo entrenador sabe que si quieren pelear por algo más que la permanencia, necesitan jugadores capaces de ello. Todavía no esta cerrada la reforma de la plantilla ni mucho menos, y necesitan piezas claves, pues el equipo es muy débil en la defensa, y con la salida de Chris Ramos a Botafogo, necesitan un delantero de garantías que aproveche todas y cada una de sus oportunidades.
Han demostrado generar ocasiones en los partidos de pretemporada, sobre todo en el ultimo frente al Córdoba, donde Álvaro García Pascual aprovechaba su físico para forzar faltas peligrosas, y generarse oportunidades de gol. Pero al equipo le sigue faltando puntería. En defensa han perdido a Víctor Chust, que a pesar de que su ultima temporada fue algo decepcionante, era una pieza clave en la defensa, donde formaba una gran asociación con Bojan Kovačević.
Pero como siempre, el Cádiz es un equipo que debería por veteranía en la categoría, estar arriba en la clasificación. Esta será su primera prueba de la temporada, que a priori pinta difícil para sus objetivos a largo plazo.
La lucha por la permanencia, tras una temporada histórica
Caso contrario para el club visitante, el Mirandés. Pese a una pasada temporada histórica para el club, donde por primera vez llegaron a playoffs de ascenso a Primera División, el equipo ha tenido que traer nada más ni nada menos que 13 jugadores entre agentes libres y cesiones. Prácticamente han creado un equipo totalmente desde cero. Por lo visto en pretemporada, la cosa tampoco pinta bien. Ninguna victoria, e incapacidad de marcar goles, y de mantener la portería a cero. La filosofía del club no es del agrado de la afición, donde cada año tienen una plantilla distinta, que puede salir bien como la pasada temporada 24/25, o puede salir mal.
A priori el club, debería de tratar de conseguir los 50 puntos de la salvación lo antes posible, antes de mirar cualquier otro objetivo. Más allá de la pasada temporada donde se colaron en los playoffs, deben buscar la permanencia. Veremos como avanza la temporada, pues la plantilla tampoco esta cerrada, así que este primer test de la temporada no será definitivo, ya que hasta el cierre de mercado pueden traer grandes refuerzos.
