El Deportivo de la Coruña se alzó con la victoria y la consecución del trofeo Emma Cuervo tras remontar el tanto de Viñas al inicio de la segunda parte. En la primera parte, el partido estaba bastante igualado, pero en el segundo tramo, y tras el gol del Oviedo, el conjunto gallego mejoró y consiguió remontar el encuentro gracias a los goles de Zakaria y Patiño.

Once del Deportivo: Parreño, Barcia, Zakaria, Escudero, Fernández, Gragera, Hernández, Loureiro, Mella, Rodríguez, Villares.
Empezó el partido en Ribadeo, y los primeros minutos fueron trabados, ya que ninguno de los dos equipos lograba llegar al área rival. No fue hasta el minuto 9, que, tras una falta lateral, el conjunto gallego consiguió el gol tras un gran remate de Gragera, pero el tanto fue anulado por fuera de juego. A partir de ese momento, el Deportivo empezó a tener buenas ocasiones, en donde la más clara fue un centro de Hernández que no encontró rematador.
El Oviedo también contó con sus respectivas ocasiones, y en el minuto 23, el equipo asturiano tuvo su mejor llegada ofensiva, que terminó con un disparo de Reina que se marchó rozando el palo izquierdo. A partir de ese momento, ambos equipos tuvieron varias ocasiones, en donde las más claras fueron de los gallegos, debido a que los ovedienses no lograban tener demasiado acierto en los centros laterales. Llegó el final de la primera parte, en donde ambos conjuntos están empatados a 0.
Segunda parte
Once del Oviedo: Moldovan, Lucas, Costas, Esteban, Falah, Domíngues, Tejón, Ovie, Cazorla, Forés, Viñas.
Once del Deportivo: Parreño, Quagliata, Samu (García, min 84), Barcia (Damián, min 77), Luismi, Villares (Rubén, min 60), Patiño, Noubi, Chacón (Soriano, min 60), Yeremay (Bouldini, min 60), Zakaria (Herrera, min 60).
Tras los cambios, el Oviedo inició con fuerza la segunda parte, y en el minuto 48, Viñas logró el primer gol del partido que abría el marcador a favor de los asturianos tras un gran inicio de jugada de Cazorla, que Viñas supo aprovechar.
El Deportivo supo cómo reaccionar y, en el minuto 55, Zakaria logró empatar el encuentro tras un gran centro de Chacón, y aunque hubo dudas sobre si el balón había traspasado la línea de gol, el juez de línea no dudó y decretó el gol del empate a favor de los gallegos.
Aquel gol generó dudas a los asturianos, las cuales el Deportivo supo aprovechar, logrando así el tanto de la remontada a los 61 minutos tras un gran error de Moldovan que Patiño supo aprovechar. Esto supuso una gran reacción del Deportivo, que logró darle la vuelta al marcador en tan solo 12 minutos.
Después de aquel gol, el Oviedo tuvo más dudas y el Deportivo estuvo cerca de lograr el tercero tras un gran disparo de Patiño, en el minuto 75, que se marchó al lateral de la red. A pesar de las dudas, el Oviedo tuvo ocasiones para lograr el empate; la más clara fue un gran centro de Lucas, que Viñas no pudo rematar. Después de esa ocasión, el Deportivo supo cómo defenderse y mantuvo su ventaja hasta el final del partido, llevándose la victoria y el trofeo Emma Cuervo.
El Oviedo tendrá que aprender de esta derrota y corregir varios aspectos si quiere hacer un buen debut liguero. Su última prueba antes del debut será este sábado ante el Leganés, donde esperan disipar todas estas carencias.
