La permanencia de su capitán una temporada más, es la última de las cuatro renovaciones que ha realizado Coviran Granada para mantener un tercio de la plantilla del pasado curso
El Coviran Granada acaba de anunciar la renovación un año más de su capitán, Pere Tomàs, que cumplirá su quinta temporada como rojinegro. La estadía del alero de Llucmajor, será un factor muy importante no solo a nivel de vestuario, donde al nuevo técnico, Ramón Díaz, le aportará mucho, sino también en la cancha, donde quiere demostrar que su rendimiento esta pasada campaña se debió solo a una fascitis plantar que le impidió jugar durante los meses centrales de la temporada. Aunque volvió para la fase final.
Con 35 años (cumplirá 36 el próximo 5 de septiembre), Pere Tomàs seguirá haciendo historia con el Coviran Granada en ACB, con el que ya ha disputado 122 encuentros entre LEB Oro y Liga Endesa, en la que suma 471 encuentros en 17 temporadas con Joventut Badalona, Casademont Zaragoza, BAXI Manresa, Surne Bilbao Basket, Gipúzkoa Basket y el propio Coviran.
Un vestuario con caras conocidas
Su renovación completa este apartado para el conjunto de la ciudad de la Alhambra, ya que las renovaciones de Jonathan Rousselle, Iván Aurrecoechea, reciente campeón del mundo con la Selección Española 3×3, y Elias Valtonen completan cuatro estancias que hacen que el nuevo Coviran Granada no arranque desde cero, sino que conserve un tercio de la plantilla del año pasado y a cuatro jugadores que de distinta manera, pero todos con el mismo objetivo, pueden sumar mucho a la causa.
A estas cuatro incorporaciones se sumarán nueve fichajes para completar los 13 jugadores que el nuevo entrenador y el nuevo director deportivo, Eloy Almazán, tiene claro que hay que tener para evitar problemas del pasado. Pere Tomàs seguirá siendo el capitán del Coviran Granada por segundo año consecutivo.
