El Real Madrid juvenil A y el Rayo Alcobendas juvenil A disputaban un partido clave por el futuro de la liga. Si el equipo de Arbeloa conseguía la victoria ante el conjunto de Alcobendas, el Real Madrid se alzaría como el campeón de liga, con una jornada más por disputar. Tras la importante victoria en el gran derbi de Madrid, unas jornadas atrás, el conjunto blanco venía lanzado a por el título. Mientras que el Rayo Alcobendas estaba en una posición aparentemente cómoda, como 8º clasificado, pero a tan solo tres puntos del descenso, que lo marcaba el Rayo Majadahonda.
El Real Madrid salía con un XI bastante titular, con tan solo un cambio respecto a su último partido ante el Burgos. Ese cambio consistía en la entrada de Cestero al centro del campo por Izan.
Primera parte
El partido comenzaba con un dominador claro. El Real Madrid controlaba el partido con el balón en los pies y a través de posesiones largas, que movían a las líneas defensivas del Rayo Alcobendas de un lado al otro. Fortea conseguía desde la derecha abrir huecos en un bloque defensivo muy compacto, pero que se veía algo débil por ese lado. De hecho, el número 2 del Real Madrid conseguía el primer disparo del encuentro a portería ante un Tejero, que paraba con facilidad el balón.
El Madrid también buscaba balones largos a la espalda de la defensa ya que el Rayo Alcobendas, a pesar de estar muy en bloque, lanzaba la línea alta. El lado derecho del ataque del Madrid estaba siendo claramente el más poderoso. El Rayo Alcobendas sufría mucho por ese costado en defensa, sobre todo cuando se juntaban Yañez y Fortea.
En el minuto 24 llegaba la ocasión más clara del partido hasta ese momento. Ruben Yánez conseguía forzar una falta muy interesante en la frontal del área, que el mismo remataría. El balón salía desviado fuera por muy poco. El Rayo Alcobendas estaba defendiendo bastante bien en bloque y había conseguido tener varias contras interesantes, pero sin terminar de definirlas de forma correcta.
En el minuto 33 de partido llegaba la más clara del partido para el conjunto visitante. Un gran robo en el centro del campo y una buena asociación entre dos jugadores de ataque, dejaba a Nielfa solo ante Javi Navarro, que achicaba muy bien espacios y conseguía parar el uno contra uno con mucho mérito. El Madrid estaba teniendo dificultades para terminar de generar peligro al Rayo Alcobendas y estaba sufriendo mucho a su espalda en defensa. De nuevo Yañez conseguía hacer la diferencia en el partido. Volvía a forzar una falta muy peligrosa, que definía de manera espectacular y se iba incluso más cerca que la anterior.
El balón parado conseguía desequilibrar el partido para un Madrid, que le estaba costando encontrar situaciones de ataque claras. Un córner puesto con música por Aguado en el minuto 40, conseguía llegar a la testa de Lezcano, que tan solo ponía la cabeza para mandar el balón al fondo de la red. Los jugadores del Madrid estallaban de emoción ante un tanto que no solo significaba abrir la lata en un partido que se estaba complicando, si no que también era un gol que tenía valor título. Todos abrazaban a Aguado, que un día más mostraba su grandísimo pie izquierdo.
Tras este gol, el Madrid dejaba morir el partido en una primera parte que ya llegaba a su fin con el pitido final del colegiado
Segunda parte
La segunda mitad comenzaba algo disparatada, con mucho parón y lesiones por parte de ambos equipos. Fortea seguía siendo un puñal por banda derecha y el Rayo Alcobendas sufría mucho por ese lado. Aunque el equipo de Ruben Bullón seguía haciendo daño a la contra, con balones largos y desmarques muy peligrosos. Uno de ellos estaba apunto de suponer el empate, pero de nuevo Javi Navarro realizaba una parada de valor gol. El portero blanco estaba siempre atento a este tipo de situaciones y achicaba los espacios muy bien de nuevo. El técnico del Rayo Alcobendas también quería revolucionar el partido desde el banquillo y realizaba un doble cambio arriba.
El equipo de Arbeloa lograba volver a tener una interesante ocasión a balón parado, con un nuevo centro de Aguado que remataba Lamini fuera. También respondía Roberto con un tiro lejano que atrapaba Tejero sin problemas. El Rayo Alcobendas cada vez estaba sufriendo más en defensa y el Madrid gozaba de varios ocasiones claras, que no entraban a portería por poco. Además, se acercaba con menor frecuencia al campo del Madrid, generando muy pocas jugadas de peligro respecto a otros momentos de partido
En el minuto 77 de partido Aguado lograba forzar un penalti algo polémico por mano. El propio Aguado tiraba el penalti y marcaba el 2º gol de la tranquilidad madridista. El conjunto de Álvaro Arbeloa cada vez estaba más cerca del soñado título.
Este gol le hacía mucho daño al equipo de Alcobendas, que cada vez tenía menos el balón. Las contras no estaban siendo ni la mitad de efectivas que antes y en defensa la lesión de Cesar se estaba notando. Ademas, el Madrid conseguía dormir muy bien el partido a través de posesiones largas, manejando los tiempos del encuentro de una manera muy madura. Pasaba poco y lo poco que pasaba era favorable al equipo local. Tras los 4 minutos de añadido, el árbitro del partido pitaba el final del encuentro y el Real Madrid juvenil A se proclamaba campeón de liga
