La segunda parte iniciaba de nuevo con un Girona muy presente en el terreno de juego. En el minuto 52′ los rojiblancos conseguían empatar en el marcador con un gol de Danjuma. Pero esto no paró a los blaugrana, en el minuto 61′ Lewandowski rompía el empate .
Pese a los esfuerzos del Girona de hacer frente a los locales, en el minuto 76′ Lewandowski volvía a anotar en el marcador, lo que debilitó la defensa rojiblanca. El conjunto culé, a pocos minutos de terminar el partido y con la victoria ya en sus manos, volvía a sumar en el marcador un gol en el minuto 86′ por parte de Ferran Torres.
Cumplidos los 90 minutos, anunciaban 5 más de añadido. En este tiempo, el Girona intentó reactivar su postura en el terreno de juego, a pesar de la derrota ya palpable.
