Ernesto Valverde ha comparecido ante los medios de comunicación con las vistas puestas en el partido de mañana domingo frente al Osasuna. El Athletic vuelve a jugar después del último parón de selecciones y afronta el último tramo de la temporada con ilusión y hambre. El técnico del Athletic ha destacado el temas de los horarios de los partidos, el estado de forma del Osasuna y algunas cuestiones más como la baja de Galarreta y la posible vuelta de Ohian Sancet.
La baja de Iñigo Ruiz de Galarreta
La primera pregunta iba dirigida hacia el estado de forma del pivote de los leones, ya que el Athletic ayer viernes sacaba un comunicado declarando que había sufrido otra lesión. Valverde calmaba a los aficionados: «Lo de Iñigo no es muy grave, es una sobrecarga, está trastocado un poco. Esperamos recuperarlo pronto«.
Por otra parte, relacionada con esta primera pregunta, se dejaba en el aire si podría volver para el partido de Europa League, incluso si podría volver Vivian, Valverde decía esto: «Queda el partido de Villarreal, la semana es larga, vamos a ver si recuperamos jugadores. No sé como pueden ir evolucionando pero tenemos buenas perspectivas».
La posible vuelta de Paredes y Ohian
El tema de las bajas e incorporaciones era de las cuestiones más claves en el inicio de esta rueda de prensa, se comentaba la vuelta a la convocatoria de Aitor y Ohian, dos jugadores que están en la recta final de sus procesos de recuperación.
Valverde no quería asegurar nada y dijo esto: «Vamos a ver el entrenamiento de hoy, Paredes va bien, aunque Ohian va con un poco más de cuidado, pero vamos a ver como termina el entrenamiento».
La carga de minutos de los jugadores del Athletic en este parón
La rueda de prensa seguía su curso y esta vez se tocaba el tema del parón de selecciones. Muchos jugadores del primer equipo fueron con sus respectivos países y jugaron una gran cantidad de minutos, Ernesto se mojaba sobre este tema y decía lo siguiente: «Lo que quieres siempre es que no ocurra nada con tus jugadores, que vuelvan sanos siempre y sin ninguna lesión. Evidentemente es un prestigio para nosotros y los jugadores que ellos jueguen, que sean titulares«.
El planteamiento ante Osasuna
La primera pregunta sobre el partido iba a llegar y Ernesto explicaba como ve a su rival y de qué manera iba a afrontar el partido:»Quedan 10 jornadas en las que nos jugamos todo, los partidos empiezan a ser decisivos. El Osasuna es un equipo que aquí en San Mamés suele afrontar bien los partidos y suele crearnos problemas. No nos resulta fácil jugar contra ellos. Intentaremos ganar».
Otra cuestión relacionada con esta pregunta iba sobre si este partido era una buena oportunidad para conseguir la revancha por la derrota dolorosa en Copa del Rey, Valverde contestaba así: «Si tenemos ganar de ganar a Osasuna, porque al final por una cosa o por otra los partidos que hemos jugado contra ellos, han sido partidos donde hemos podido dominar y ganar. Lo que pasa es que ellos son un equipo que nos tiene tomada la medida, pero veremos si podemos cambiar eso que nos está faltando. Nuestra intención es hacer un buen partido».
¿Condiciona la acumulación de amarillas en el planteamiento?
Llegaba el ecuador de la rueda de prensa y ahora se quiso hacer hincapié en aquellos jugadores que podrían perderse el siguiente partido de Liga por acumulación de tarjetas. Valverde fue tajante y respondió así: «No estoy pensando en ello, ya que aún no pienso en el siguiente partido contra el Villarreal. Es un rival al que tenemos cerca, pero mañana los 3 puntos son muy importantes, el Villarreal ya vendrá».
El tema de los horarios
El tema más comentado en esta rueda de prensa llegaba y Ernesto Valverde dejó claro por qué y de qué se quejan los entrenadores de primera división:»¿Qué te puedo decir?, los jugadores y entrenadores no nos quejamos la mayoría de veces por una cuestión deportiva. Sin embargo hay veces que podemos jugar teniendo más descanso, y esto es algo que debería mirar la Liga de fútbol profesional. Hay ligas que tienen más prestigio y juegan a la misma hora, aquí no. Yo creo de lo que trata esto es de prestigiar tu competición«.
Por otro lado, se planteaba a Ernesto sobre si habría alguna solución a este problema que genera tanta controversia en la Liga española, Valverde volvía a ser tajante: «Es difícil, por equipos que juegan en Europa, este año han habido más partidos en Europa, luego llega la Copa, sé que es complicado. Pero bueno, hay momentos en los que se ve claro que hay equipos que no juegan en una semana, y el partido puede o ir un día antes o ir un día más tarde, es que se ve. Nos quejamos por eso, entendemos que la situación complicada, pero hay situaciones obvias«.
La mala racha de Osasuna
Las preguntas sobre el rival iban a volver y esta vez se hablaba del bajón que ha pegado el equipo rojillo en este último mes. Ernesto Valverde lo veía de la siguiente manera: «Las estadísticas se ven desde el prisma que uno quiere ver, es verdad que lleva tiempo sin ganar, pero en ese tiempo nos ganó aquí en Copa. Mañana es otro partido, otra situación y otra posibilidad de cambiar las estadísticas. Nosotros ahora mismo queremos dar un paso importante en la pelea que tenemos».
El estado de forma de Nico Williams
La rueda de prensa terminaba con una última pregunta dirigida hacia Nico Williams. El técnico del Athletic analizaba así su estado de forma:»Está en un buen momento de forma, ya lo ha demostrado en este parón. Ha tenido tiempo para descansar y recuperarse. Le vemos muy bien, estamos todos dispuestos a afrontar este último tramo de la temporada».
