El Atlético de Madrid ha ganado 1-4 al RB Salzburgo en la 8º jornada de la UEFA Champions League para sellar el pase directo de su equipo a octavos. Tras ello, Simeone ha comparecido en rueda de prensa para dar sus impresiones sobre el partido.

¿Por qué está más satisfecho de su equipo?

«Por como el equipo jugó el partido. No pensó en otra cosa que no fuese lo que vino a buscar. Tuvo mucha contundencia en cada ataque. y encaminó el partido. Me voy con esa imagen positiva. Los cambios dieron energía y nos sirvió para tener a todo el equipo metido. Hay muchos partidos y los necesitamos a todos.»

«Ellos jugaron bien en el tramo final del primer tiempo. No había que dejarles engancharse en el partido y había que ser contundentes.»

«Un partido de los mejores de estos últimos meses. Muy concreto, contundente, cercano al gol, tuvo la opción de hacer más goles. Lo necesitamos así. Es muy importante para nosotros y esperemos que pueda sostener lo que nos da.»
