El Girona de Míchel se despiden de la Champions en un gran partido en Montilivi ante el Arsenal de Arteta

El Girona no se encuentran en un buen momento, ya que llevan tres partidos consecutivos sin conocer la victoria. Dos derrotas en la Liga EA Sports y una derrota en Champions League, que los deja matemáticamente fuera de la competición. Por ello, los gironins buscarán la victoria ante un gran Arsenal, que se encuentra tercero en la clasificación con 16 puntos, para despedirse de su histórica clasificación en la UEFA Champions League.
En el pasado encuentro, los catalanes comenzaron ganando gracias al tanto de Bryan Gil en el 58′. Pero en en 80′ un gran Nteka firmó un doblete dándole la victoria por 2-1 al Rayo Vallecano. Mientras que en el último encuentro de Champions ante el Milan, los diablos superaron a los catalanes gracias al tanto de Rafael Leão.
Arbitraje
El encargado de dirigir el encuentro será el Maurizio Mariani, el italiano será la primera vez que pite a ambos equipos en Europa y el cuarto encuentro que dirija en esta fase de liga de la Champions League. El italiano conoce muy bien a los clubes españoles ya que ha arbitrado dos veces al Real Madrid y otra al Sevilla. A los clubes ingleses también los conoce bien, ya que ha pitado al Manchester City, West Ham, Tottenham y Aston Villa.
El árbitro italiano no estará solo, puesto que le acompañaran Daniele Chiffi en el VAR, Bindoni y Alberto Tegoni como asistentes y Daniele Doveri como 4º árbitro.
