Desde hace un tiempo, los derbis entre Atlético de Madrid y Real Madrid en el Metropolitano se han convertido en un centro de atención mediática en el que el fútbol poco tiene que ver y donde ni siquiera juega un papel secundario. Este año, tal y como se han encargado de demostrar, no iba a ser la excepción. LaLiga ha tenido que dar un paso al frente, de nuevo, para poner fin a una campaña de odio contra Vinícius.
En esta ocasión, algunos aficionados del Atleti se movilizaron hace unos días a través de ‘X’ (Twitter) para incitar a los rojiblancos a que acudiesen con mascarillas al estadio con el objetivo de insultar al brasileño sin ser identificados. Una campaña cobarde y despreciable que tuvo más acogida de lo esperado. Por ello, LaLiga ha decidido dar un golpe sobre la mesa y ha emitido un comunicado este mediodía anunciando que va a denunciar y pedir la detención inmediata de los instigadores de esta iniciativa.
Bajo el hashtag #MetropolitanoConMascarilla, una parte de la afición colchonera se ha empeñado en demostrar, como cada año, que el racismo está lejos de ser erradicado. Además, esta vez trae el agravante de ser un ‘delito de incitación al odio’, algo que el Código Penal recoge en sus páginas. LaLiga ha dicho basta y ha decidido dar un paso al frente contra el racismo. Tolerancia cero con los que dañan nuestro fútbol.

“LaLiga informa que procederá a denunciar formalmente y pedir la detención inmediata de los instigadores de una campaña de odio que busca promover actos racistas y vejatorios en el próximo partido entre Atlético de Madrid y Real Madrid. La citada campaña constituye un delito de incitación al odio, claramente tipificado en el Código Penal.
LaLiga condena enérgicamente estas acciones que fomentan, promueven e incitan directa o indirectamente al odio contra una persona determinada, en este caso Vinicius, por motivo de su raza. Con la concurrencia, además, de las circunstancias agravantes de los apartados 3 y 4 del art 510 del Código Penal, al resultar los hechos idóneos para alterar la paz pública.
LaLiga no tolerará en ninguna circunstancia este tipo de comportamientos. Estos actos no solo suponen un perjuicio para la imagen del deporte y de nuestro país, sino que también representan una amenaza directa a la integridad y el bienestar de todos los aficionados.
Asimismo, desde LaLiga queremos destacar el comportamiento cívico y ejemplar de la gran mayoría de los aficionados. Muchos de ellos han colaborado activamente en la identificación de los autores de delitos de odio en el pasado. Gracias a su cooperación, hemos podido tomar las medidas necesarias para erradicar este tipo de comportamientos y garantizar un ambiente de respeto en el fútbol”.
