«Quiero decir, tenemos que diferenciar nuestro deporte y la música del rap. No somos raperos, ya lo sabes. ¿Cuántas veces dicen tacos ellos por minuto? No estamos a eso. Ellos son ellos y nosotros somos nosotros».

A pesar de este incidente, Hamilton no perdió el enfoque y prefirió concentrarse en lo que viene para Mercedes y para él en las próximas semanas de competencia.
«Llegando a este fin de semana, lo vamos a dar todo. Si va bien o mal, es lo que es, estamos en un periodo del año en el que tenemos que darlo absolutamente todo y si no va bien, no tenemos que venirnos abajo ni tirar la toalla, por lo que quiero mantenerme positivo. Tenemos siete oportunidades más, así que vamos a ir a por todas.»
