Definidos los Playoffs y el Play-In: así acabó la NBA

La temporada regular de la NBA ya ha finalizado y el cuadro de enfrentamientos para los Playoffs ya está servido

La mejor liga del mundo se despide un año más de una nueva campaña regular y abre las puertas a su acto final, los Playoffs. Tras una jornada de 15 enfrentamientos, todas las posiciones en ambas conferencias quedaron definidas. Pacers y Magic consiguieron su billete directo a la postemporada, mientras que 76ers y Heat jugarán Play-In. En el oeste, Oklahoma City Thunder finalmente se alzó como el primer clasificado. Suns consiguió ser sexto y clasificar directamente, por lo que Pelicans, Lakers, Kings y Warriors serán quienes se jugarán la vida en un todo o nada este próximo martes.

Así serán los enfrentamientos en estos playoffs

Como cada año, el bracket marcará el camino de los playoffs y define cuáles serán los duelos y caminos a seguir para cada franquicia. A causa de la gran igualdad este año en la liga, el oeste se reafirma como una conferencia fuerte con grandes enfrentamientos donde dos grandes equipos quedarán fuera tras el Play-In. Respecto al este, se esperan series de alta intensidad donde equipos jóvenes, como Orlando Magic o Indiana Pacers, pueden dar la sorpresa a los pesos pesados de la conferencia. La postemporada comenzará con el Play-In del oeste este martes. Recordamos que el Play-In es un breve torneo de eliminación directa para definir quiénes obtiene los dos últimos pases a playoffs. Consta de 3 partidos para cada conferencia. El primero enfrenta al séptimo y octavos clasificados, el ganador entra a playoffs y el perdedor queda a la espera de otra oportunidad en el siguiente partido. El segundo encuentro enfrenta a noveno y décimo, cuyo ganador será quien se enfrente al perdedor del primer encuentro en el tercer partido del torneo. Lakers y Pelicans, el primer duelo para llegar a playoffs

Los New Orleans Pelicans, clasificados como séptimos en el oeste, recibirán este martes a Los Angeles Lakers en el primer partido del play-in del oeste, cuyo ganador clasificará a los Playoffs para enfrentarse ante los Denver Nuggets en primera ronda.

De la mano de un estelar LeBron James, con un triple doble de 28 puntos, 11 rebotes y 17 asistencias, los angelinos ganaron su último partido de temporada regular precisamente contra Pelicans y consiguieron afianzarse en la octava plaza, confirmando así su participación en el Play-In con dos oportunidades de clasificar.

Los Lakers se quedarán en New Orleans para una nueva edición del partido de cierre de la temporada regular, pero esta vez en búsqueda de un billete para los Playoffs. Para ello será clave recuperar en plenas condiciones a Anthony Davis, quien abandonó el encuentro el día de ayer en el último cuarto por espasmos en la espalda y aún está por confirmar el alcance de esta posible lesión.

Respecto al conjunto local, los Pels han podido recuperar a Brandon Ingram después de su lesión y contarán con todo su plantel sano para defender el Smoothie King Center, incluyendo a su estrella Zion Williamson, que después de tantas lesiones ha sabido mantenerse en forma y promediar 23 puntos, 6 rebotes y 5 asistencias en 70 partidos jugados en esta 23-24. Por su parte, a pesar de las bajas de Malik Monk y Kevin Huerter, los Kings cuentan con sus dos grandes estrellas en gran forma para no decirle adiós a su temporada e iluminar, con la victoria, el Golden 1 Center. Sin duda alguna, Domantas Sabonis, quien ha hecho una temporada histórica con 77 dobles-dobles, será clave en el juego interior, aunque la llave del encuentro pasará por la defensa sobre Stephen Curry, quien el año pasado dominó en Sacramento con 50 puntos en el partido decisivo para eliminar a los Kings.

Bulls-Hakws, en busca de un milagro

Los Atlanta Hawks irán a la ciudad del viento para enfrentarse a los Bulls en busca de seguir vivos este año y dar la sorpresa en la conferencia este. Ambos conjuntos parten de un récord negativo (39-43 para Chicago y 36-46 para Atlanta), y jugarán un partido de eliminación para enfrentarse contra el perdedor del Sixers-Heat.

El equipo dirigido por Quinn Snyder tendrá ya de vuelta a Trae Young tras recuperarse de su lesión, mientras que Bulls sigue sin la presencia de Lonzo Ball y Lavine, aunque cuenta con DeRozan en un gran momento y una gran temporada de sus complementos como Coby White y Caruso.
