El Atleti gana e iguala la mejor racha de victorias en casa de su historia

El Atlético de Madrid ha cumplido ante la Lazio y será cabeza de serie en el sorteo del lunes. Cosa que sucedía desde la temporada 2016-17. De esta manera, se libra de complicarse la vida con un rival difícil en los octavos de final de la Champions League y se asegura poder tener un rival más asequible, aunque aún así le puede tocar con equipos del calibre de PSG o Inter de Milán. Además, con esta victoria firma su 20º victoria como local de manera consecutiva, contando todas las competiciones. Al ganar este partido iguala la mejor racha de la historia del club, que se consiguió al inicio de la era Simeone. Los goles fueron anotados por Griezmann y Samuel Lino.

Rotaciones en el once

Al igual que el otro día, cuando jugó con el Almería, todos esperaban que Simeone rotara y se sorprendieron al no ver prácticamente ninguna rotación, hoy el Cholo sorprendió con varias rotaciones. Sentó a Koke, Morata y Marcos Llorente. En su lugar formaron la zaga Savic, Gimenéz y Mario Hermoso, pasó Witsel al pivote acompañado por Rodrigo de Paul y Saúl y arriba permanecieron Correa y Griezmann.

Salida fulgurante

El partido comenzó con una gran presión rojiblanca y gran dominio sobre la Lazio. Empezó con varios avisos. El gol no tardaría en llegar, ya que en el minuto 6, Samuel Lino se llevaba un balón por banda y con un poco de suerte conseguía entrar en el área para pasar el balón atrás para el remate casi a placer de Griezmann que ponía el primero en el marcador.

Pase atrás y dominio de la Lazio

Tras este gol el Atlético da la impresión que deja de presionar tanto y da un paso atrás. El conjunto de Sarri tenía que ir a por el partido si quería ser campeón de grupo e iba a aprovechar la bajada de ritmo atlética para a empezar a desplegar el juego que más le gusta realizar. La Lazio empezaba a tener posesiones muy largas y trabajadas, pero no terminaba de inquietar del todo la defensa colchonera. Aún así el equipo romano iba a aprovechar varias imprecisiones de la defensa, sobre todo de Savic, para disponer de varias ocasiones que podían haber cambiado el partido, pero para suerte rojiblanca estas no acabaron en el fondo de las mallas.

Lino recupera al Atleti

Parecía que el gol de la Lazio podía llegar en cualquier momento, pero una buena jugada de Lino, que fue detenida por Provedel, despertaría de nuevo a los de Simeone. A partir de ese momento el Atleti iba a recuperar la tónica del principio del partido e iba a empezar a generar ocasiones. Tuvo varias oportunidades para ampliar la diferencia en el marcador, incluso un gol anulado a Hermoso por clara interferencia de Lino en el portero, antes de llegar al descanso. Tras la salida de vestuarios, se podía esperar otro paso de los visitantes, ya que seguían necesitando dos goles para obtener la primera plaza del grupo, pero esto nunca sucedió. Simeone siguió haciendo rotaciones y dio descanso a Griezmann y Giménez para dar minutos a Soyuncu y Memphis. El partido siguió la misma trayectoria con la que terminó el primer tiempo. La superioridad rojiblanca que llevaba teniendo en los últimos minutos fue premiada por el MVP del partido, Samuel Lino, tras un disparo a la escuadra derecha de la portería defendida por Provedel. De esta manera, se amplía la diferencia a 2 goles y el conjunto colchonero se metía la primera plaza en el bolsillo.

Relax y rendición

A partir del segundo gol los rojiblancos iban a seguir dominando, pero poco a poco iba a ir bajando el ritmo y centrarse más en las rotaciones, que se siguieron haciendo llevando a cabo entrando Koke y Morata por Witsel y Correa. La Lazio, en vez de ir a pulir sus pocas opciones, ya que tenían que meter tres goles para ser primeros, optaron por tirar la toalla y bajar también el ritmo. El partido perdió todo tipo de ritmo y velocidad para el minuto 70, en el que los dos equipos querían que acabara ya el partido. Habría alguna ocasión más para cada equipo, pero con la nula intensidad de ambos conjunto acabaría el encuentro.
