Alexis Mac Allister abrió el marcador, Dan Ndoye empató para los helvéticos y ya en la prórroga Julián Álvarez y Lautaro Martínez sentenciaron el pase a semifinales.
Inglaterra, por su parte, llega tras un cuarto de final durísimo ante Noruega, al que terminó ganando 2-1 en tiempo extra con un doblete de Jude Bellingham, luego de ir abajo en el marcador por un golazo de Andreas Schjelderup. Antes había dejado en el camino a RD Congo y a México.
Una rivalidad que va más allá de la cancha

El árbitro
La FIFA designó al estadounidense Ismail Elfath como árbitro principal del partido. Lo acompañarán los asistentes Corey Parker y Kyle Atkins, el italiano Maurizio Mariani como cuarto árbitro, y el chileno Juan Lara a cargo del VAR.
