El pívot madrileño, Iván Aurrecoechea, y el Coviran Granada han llegado a un acuerdo para rescindir el contrato que les unía

Se ha confirmado una noticia que era un secreto a voces en Granada durante las últimas semanas, la rescisión de contrato de Iván Aurrecoechea con el Coviran. El fichaje de Amida Brimah el pasado jueves, fue la confirmación de que este corte se iba a producir, tras los escasos minutos del pívot internacional con la Selección Española 3×3 en el primer tramo de la temporada.

Iván Aurrecoechea ha sumado 27 partidos disputados con el Coviran Granada desde su fichaje en verano del 2024, siendo un pívot de rotación tanto la pasada campaña (partía por detrás en la rotación de Jacob Wiley, Rubén Gurrero y Giorgi Bezhanishvili) como esta (también partía por detrás de Zach Hankins y Babatunde Olumuyiwa), pero aportando fuerza, vigor y capacidad reboteadora en los minutos que ha estado en pista. Además de ser un gran profesional y aportar cohesión en el vestuario, en lo extradeportivo.

Sus promedios en ACB han sido de 7:55 minutos, 2,3 puntos, 1,9 rebotes, 0,2 asistencias y 0,1 tapones por partido. Se desconoce por el momento si su futuro pasará por un regreso a la Primera FEB, donde mostró su mejor rendimiento como un interior dominante antes de fichar por el equipo nazarí.
