El Atlético de Madrid perdió ayer 3-2 contra el Liverpool en Anfield en la jornada 1 de la fase liga de la UEFA Champions League. Los del Cholo tuvieron un inicio horrible que le costó ir perdiendo 2-0 en tan solo 6 minutos. Tras el 2-0 los rojiblancos entraron al partido y fueron recomponiéndose poco a poco. Con mucho trabajo y sufrimiento consiguieron igualar el marcador gracias al doblete de Marcos Llorente. Pero, en el descuento Van Dijk iba a devolver la victoria a su equipo.
Alineación inicial
El Atlético de Madrid llegaba a este partido con varias bajas sensibles. Ante esto Simeone alineó a Lenglet, ante el convocado, pero tocado Hancko, en el centro de la zaga junto a Le Normand. En banda optó por sacar a Javi Galán, en vez de Ruggeri. En el medio campo solo incluyó la novedad de Gallagher y siguió apostando por Nico González. Arriba dio la primera titularidad a Raspadori. La formación inicial en el campo fue de la siguiente manera:
Oblak/ Llorente, Le Normand, Lenglet, Javi Galán/ Giuliano, Barrios, Gallagher, Nico González/ Raspadori, Griezmann
Inicio horrible
El Atlético comenzó el partido peor imposible. Salió completamente dormido y el Liverpool le pasó por encima. En el minuto 4, entre Robertson y Barrios meten el primer gol con algo de fortuna. A la jugada siguiente prácticamente, Gravenberch filtró con total tranquilidad un pase a Salah, al que no pudieron frenar ni Gallagher, ni Galán, ni Nico. El egipcio se metió entre los tres y en el área pequeña batió a Oblak para poner el segundo en tan solo 6 minutos.
Parecía presagiarse una noche muy dura para los colchoneros, pero justo ahí comenzaron a despertar y entrar en juego. El Atlético de Madrid comenzó a competirle el partido al Liverpool y a llegar a área rival, elaborando buenas jugadas, pero sin lograr acabarlas, más allá de un disparo tímido de Raspadori, uno de los mejores, desde fuera del área. Igualmente, el Liverpool seguía teniendo muchas situaciones de ventaja en el medio campo, ya que contaba con un hombre que los del Cholo en la zona de máquinas. El que sin duda más destacó el centro del campo del Liverpool fue Gravenberch que hizo un primer tiempo soberbio.
El Liverpool continuaba teniendo ocasiones como una de Salah, que se fue por poco. La defensa del Atlético de Madrid comenzó a mostrarse más segura con un gran Le Normand en el centro de la zaga.
Pasada la media hora, el Liverpool volvió a pisar el acelerador y tuvo otros grandes minutos al término del primer tiempo. Aprovechó su ventaja en el medio campo para generar un sinfín de ocasiones en este tramo del partido. La defensa empezó a encontrar muchísimas dificultades para frenar las envestidas reds, pero por a o por b, siempre lograban solucionarlas sin que la sangre llegará al río. Una prueba perfecta de esto es una acción en la que Wirtz sin casi oposición se planta en el área frente a Oblak y en su intento de regatearle termina por liarse y perder el balón. Además, el partido estuvo a punto de ser sentenciado del todo cuando el árbitro del encuentro, Slavko Vincic, se inventó un penalti por mano de Lenglet. Obviamente el VAR le llamó para que fuera a revisarlo y lo anulará. Aunque el Liverpool estaba siendo muy superior y parecía que el tercero podía llegar en cualquier momento, el Atlético de Madrid no era el del comienzo del partido y seguía teniendo alguna situación de peligro en el área contraria. Por eso, cuando el primer tiempo agonizaba, Barrios filtró un pase hacia Raspadori, que se aprovechó del error de la defensa a la hora de tirar la línea, para pisar área y cederle el balón a Marcos Llorente, quién con la punta de la bota marcó el 2-1 antes del descanso, justo en la misma portería donde marcó su icónico doblete hace 5 años y medio. La historia podría haber sido distinta si el gol se hubiera anulado por fuera de juego posicional de Griezmann.
Remó hasta morir en la orilla
Antes de comenzar el segundo tiempo parecía que iba a entrar Koke, pero finalmente Simeone decidió retrasarlo. No tardó mucho en arrepentirse, ya que le dio entrada en el minuto 53. Entró por Raspadori, que estaba siendo de los mejores y de los que más peligro estaba generando. Con este cambio, los colchoneros no hicieron más que confirmar la mejoría, que ya había sido evidente en el inicio del segundo tiempo. Igualaba el medio campo con este cambio, lo que hizo que el Liverpool dejara de tener tantas ventajas en esta zona. Tras este cambio, Nico González pasó a la delantera y Gallagher a la izquierda, dejando un centro del campo de Koke-Barrios que dio un gran rendimiento. Pero, igualmente el Liverpool estaba muy bien plantado en defensa y un Van Dijk imperial evitaba que muchas ocasiones llegarán a Allison. En el minuto 61, Simeone volvió a mover el banquillo. Introdujo a Sorloth y Nahuel Molina por Griezmann y Gallagher. El cambio de Sorloth por Griezmann no alteró nada el posicionamiento, aunque se un jugador más referencia con el noruego. En cambio, la entrada de Nahuel Molina, hizo que Marcos Llorente pasara al medio campo, Barrios a la derecha y Giuliano cambiará a la izquierda. El posicionamiento en medio campo de Marcos Llorente le terminó por consagrar como mejor hombre rojiblanco y el que generaba casi todo el peligro.
El Atlético de Madrid se fue echando cada vez más arriba y teniendo cada una presión más alta. Esto propició que el Liverpool, que en ningún momento terminó de ser dominado, tuviera grandes espacios a la espalda y pudiera generar varias contras que podían haber desembocado en el tercero, como un remate de Salah al palo. Los colchoneros tuvieron una gran ocasión en botas de Marcos Llorente, pero su remate se marchó rozando el larguero. Simeone agotó los cambios metiendo a Pubill por Nico González en el minuto 77. Giuliano adelantó su posición a la delantera. En el minuto 81, Koke hizo una internada en el área e hizo llegar el balón a Barrios, cuyo remate lo rechazó la defensa. El rechace cayó en la frontal, donde estaba Marcos Llorente, quién empaló el balón de primeras y tras tocar en un defensa, el balón se metió en la portería de Anfield para firmar su segundo doblete en este estadio. Entonces el Atlético de Madrid empezó a ver cerca lo que al principio del partido estaba muy lejos, puntuar en Anfield.
El Liverpool volvió a coger el control del partido y poco a poco fue viviendo más cerca de la portería de Oblak hasta el punto de que los últimos minutos fueron un asedio red. Además, el sinfín de córneres a favor del Liverpool favorecieron mucho a esto. El Atlético de Madrid lo intentaba a la contra, pero la defensa red en ningún momento dejó de mostrarse muy segura. En el sinfín de córneres emergió una figura, que ya había emergido en defensa. No es otro que Van Dijk. Avisó dos veces, pero a la tercera le fue la vencida y en el minuto 90+1 cabeceó a gol un córner para poner el definitivo 3-2. Tras la trifulca del Cholo, en la que fue expulsado, también hubo tiempo para poder haber visto más goles. Primero con Ekitike, que falló dos ocasiones muy claras, sobre todo la segunda a la contra. Y en el último suspiro, Marcos Llorente puso un centro preciso a la cabeza de Sorloth, que remató solo, pero no consiguió imprimirle fuerza ni dirección y se marchó a las manos de Allison.
No dio tiempo para más, el Atlético de Madrid cayó en la primera jornada ante el campeón de la Premier, pero se puede decir que con mucho orgullo.
