SUS INICIOS
Después de formarse como entrenador en la base de grandes canteras catalanas como CF Damm y Gimnàstic Manresa, en la temporada 2020/2021 cogió las riendas del Manresa, como primer entrenador.
En su primera aventura, aterrizó con el equipo en la Tercera División, con la remodelación de la federación, el Manresa se quedó en la Tercera Federación. En la Tercera Federación, tan solo estuvieron una temporada, allí consiguió su primer éxito, ascendiendo a la Segunda Federación.
Después de ese ascenso, tenía delante de él un gran reto, la Segunda Federación. El catalán estuvo a la altura, ya que, en su primera temporada después del ascenso, consiguió dejar al Manresa, cuarto. En los playoffs quedaron eliminados en primera ronda por el Navalcarnero.
LLEGADA AL FÚTBOL PROFESIONAL
En la temporada 2023/2024 le llegó un nuevo reto, Badalona Futur, de nuevo en la Segunda Federación.
En esta aventura todo salió a pedir de boca, el equipo lideró la clasificación prácticamente toda la temporada e incluso consiguieron la Copa RFEF. En el Badalona Futur estuvo hasta la jornada treinta, y el equipo se encontraba líder con tan solo cuatro derrotas, allí le tocó decidir, sí, seguir en el Badalona Futur, o irse al FC Andorra a intentar mantener la categoría en la Segunda División.
Finalmente, decidió irse a Andorra, y con 28 años y tan solo tres temporadas y media como entrenador, llegó al fútbol profesional.
La temporada no acabó de la mejor manera, ya que, no pudo mantener la categoría y descendió a la Primera Federación.
UNA GRAN OPORTUNIDAD
Esta temporada, Ferran Costa y el Andorra estarán en la categoría de bronce del fútbol español, y los ‘tricolors’ le han hecho un equipo a medida al catalán.
Jugadores de experiencia y de buen toque de balón han llegado a Andorra, con el objetivo claro, de volver a la Segunda División y tener un bloque fuerte, para consolidarse en el fútbol profesional.
El inicio de liga ha sido complicado, una idea clara de juego del entrenador y muchos fichajes por asentar, han hecho que el inicio de liga no sea el esperado, pero los andorranos, ya empiezan a calibrar.
Después de una derrota en la primera jornada en Lezama, ante el filial del Athletic, han conseguido dos victorias de valor ante el Barça Atlètic y Tarazona, esto le ha hecho encontrarse en la cuarta posición de la clasificación en la tercera jornada.
Después del bache de la primera jornada, y con la aspiración clara del ascenso a la Segunda División, le espera un futuro prometedor a Ferran Costa y el Andorra en la Primera Federación.
