El Burgos pedía a gritos el descanso, ya que se encontraba sin vida en estos momentos, pero por suerte para ellos el primer tiempo terminó sin más novedades.
Un gol ilegal condiciona el partido
El inicio del segundo tiempo se dilató tras una incidencia médica en la grada.
Nada más comenzar el segundo tiempo el Racing tuvo un par de acciones en las que estuvo a punto de marcar. Tras ello el Burgos tomó el control del encuentro durante unos minutos y se asentó en campo contrario. En el minuto 50, David González puso un centro que cabeceó Grego Sierra y se marchó rozando el palo. Pero, fue en el minuto 54, cuando Jorge Salinas dio un pase en largo, tras coger el balón fuera, y le llegó el balón a Villalibre. El Búfalo se deshizo con un agarrón de Grego Sierra y lanzó un gran disparo cruzado al que Cantero nada pudo hacer para evitar el gol. Luis Bestard acertó en la segunda infracción y señaló la falta.
