El Valencia fue avasallado por un Madrid imparable que dominó de principio a fin en un partido horrible del equipo valencianista.

El Valencia arrancó el encuentro con un once reconocible y con solo una pieza nueva respecto al último partido contra el Villarreal. Javi Guerra cedió su  puesto en el centro del campo a Santamaría para formar junto a Pepelu. Diego López y Luis Rioja empezaron el encuentro en su posición natural. Rioja en la izquierda y Diego Lopez en el lado opuesto, la derecha. Danjuma sería la única referencia en el ataque por delante de Lucas Beltrán. El Madrid fue quien disparó primero a la meta del Valencia, con tiros de Mbappé para forzar el primer córner de partido, y el remate de Fede Valverde a ese.

Tras intentonas varias del equipo local, con llegadas con peligro donde Agirrezabala tuvo que aparecer. El primer momento clave del partido fue cuando el colegiado, Mateo Busquets, avisado por el V.A.R. Pitó penalti para el Real Madrid. Cesar Tárrega a criterio de los árbitros impacta el esférico con la mano. Mbappé anotó y puso el 1-0 en el marcador en el minuto 19´. Una vez pasado el minuto veinte y tras el gol, el Valencia no mostraba una cara positiva, al equipo le flojeaban las piernas y no quería saber nada del balón. El Madrid todo lo contrario, realizó un gran comienzo con llegadas a escasos metros de la línea de gol y dominando.

El segundo hachazo blanco llegó en el 31´de partido, Arda Güler puso un gran pase a «el 9» del Real Madrid, Mbappé, solo en el área ché, remató el centro del turco para colocar el 2-0 y encarrilar el encuentro para el líder de La Liga. Los blancos, lejos de bajar el ritmo seguían a lo suyo ante un Valencia muy flojo en defensa, pasivo y con una falta de intensidad grave en este tipo de escenarios. Danjuma, lejos de las acciones importantes de partido, luchaba a contracorriente para tratar de generar algo en ataque. Tarea imposible ante una defensa bien ejecutada. Al filo del descanso, un nuevo penalti para el equipo merengue, esta vez el penalti sobre Arda Guler. Vinicius Jr seria el encargado de los once metros. De nuevo el brasileño se dejaría llevar por su obsesión por el Valencia y fallaría el penalti.

Poco después Bellingham desde la frontal del área pondría el 3-0 en el luminoso. El inglés con un fabuloso disparo culminó la primera parte, hundiendo al equipo de Corberán y sacando las vergüenzas de equipo pobre sin ideas.

Tras el paso por vestuarios, Corberán introdujo a André Almeida por Lucas Beltrán. Lejos de cambiar algo, el Madrid seguía a lo suyo, llevando el compás del partido de manera clamorosa. El Valencia carecía de personalidad con el balón y sin él. Carreras se sumaría a la fiesta y anotaría el cuarto de la noche en el minuto 82’ de encuentro, golazo del ex del Benfica, imposible para Julen.
