El Real Zaragoza ha encontrado la fórmula para sumar de tres ante el Albacete Balompié y ganar por primera vez esta temporada en un duelo de necesidades para ambos equipos
Los de Gabi Fernández regresaban al Ibercaja Estadio en puestos de descenso con toda la jornada disputada. El Real Zaragoza volvía a medirse al examen del zaragocismo y lo hacía con la baja de Radovanovic que tuvo que ser sustituido ante el Real Valladolid por un fuerte golpe en la cabeza. Todavía sin triunfos en su haber, igual que su rival, el Real Zaragoza cerraba la jornada en casa con el único objetivo de vencer y el reto personal de Gabi de «dejar la portería a cero».
El otro banquillo del estadio modular iba a ser ocupado por un Albacete Balompié más necesitado que el cuadro local si cabe. El equipo visitante aterrizaba en la capital aragonesa con un punto menos que su rival y con el triunfo entre ceja y ceja.
Primera parte
El último encuentro de la jornada en la Hypermotion arrancó con una gran superioridad del Real Zaragoza que intentó durante toda la primera mitad derribar el muro alabaceteño que defendió con gran acierto Raúl Lizoain. La primera oportunidad de los de Gabi llegaría en el minuto 8 de juego con un acercamiento peligroso que propició Dani Gomez tras recuperar el esférico en el centro del campo. Francho terminó disparando de lejos obligando al meta visitante a desviar el cuero.
No cedió en sus pocas oportunidades el Albacete Balompié que en el primer cuarto de hora tuvo la mejor de sus jugadas. La ocasión acabó en un córner que tuvo que despejar el cuadro del león y por el que se reclamó penalti de Francho. No sería la única polémica del primer asalto en el Ibercaja Estadio. Daniel Palencia se empequeñeció con el paso de los minutos y cometió errores graves que crisparon el ambiente sobre el verde y en la grada. A la media hora de juego señaló pena máxima en favor de los balanquillos por una mano que cortó la trayectoria del balón evitando un mano a mano del Real Zaragoza. La llamada del VAR y las reiteradas protestas del Albacete acabaron modificando la decisión del colegiado que terminó anulando el penalti.
En lo que a juego se refiere, la mejor oportunidad se la anotó el Real Zaragoza con un gran centro de Raúl Guti. La pelota viajó hasta el segundo palo donde esperaba Paulino que pese a rematar se encontró con una gran parada de Lizoain que mantuvo el empate que reinaría en los primeros 45 minutos de juego.
Segunda parte
Gabi Fernández y Alberto González optaron por agitar el árbol de los cambios tras el paso por vestuarios. En el Albacete entraría a escena Javi Moreno en sustitución del amonestado Pepe Sánchez mientras que en el Zaragoza sería Keidi Bare quien reemplazase a Raúl Guti. La primera gran ocasión, al igual que en la primera mitad, sería para los locales. Esta vez, a balón parado desde la frontal fue Dani Gómez quien intentó romper el empate. El delantero ajustó el cuero al palo pero no logró mandarlo al fondo de la red por escasos centímetros.
El Albacete fue quien tomó las riendas en los primeros minutos del segundo asalto. Los visitantes recuperaron el terreno perdido en la primera mitad para asediar por ambas bandas al Real Zaragoza que supo defenderse alejando el esférico de su área. Buscando nuevas opciones de refresco, ambos entrenadores coincidieron de nuevo en el momento de los cambios pasada la hora de juego. En esta ocasión fue doble el reemplazo en ambos conjuntos.
A los 70 minutos de juego, volvió a tener el Real Zaragoza una ocasión providencial que rechazó Lizoain desde dentro del área. El gol, que sí superó línea por completo, no subió al luminoso por un fuera de juego milimétrico de Saidu que tardó el VAR en aclarar más de cinco minutos. El Real Zaragoza se instaló en portería rival en los últimos diez minutos de juego con grandes llegadas a cargo de Francho Serrano que intentó anotar sin premio. Aunque siguió presionando el cuadro local, el marcador no sufrió cambios y ambos equipos sumaron un punto más y una nueva semana sin ganar.
