Pese a tener buen rendimiento en torneos eliminatorios como la Conference League, su situación fue diferente en la Premier League ya que no pudo destacar como en Europa. Sumado a las lesiones sufridas durante la temporada, el francés ha llegado a la situación de ser prescindible en la entidad británica. Su posible marcha a tierras transalpinas es una oportunidad para resarcirse de su último año.
Christopher Nkunku es un atacante que destaca por su regate, su velocidad y su control. Es una incorporación que puede ser interesante para Massimiliano Allegri. Además, su polivalencia le permite jugar en otras posiciones que pueda requerir el técnico de Livorno. Ejemplo de ello puede ser el año pasado ya que Nkunku disputó encuentro de extremo e incluso de centrocampista además de delantero centro. Si recupera el nivel que tuvo en su paso por el Leipzig teutón, puede ser un fichaje bastante ilusionante para la parroquia de San Siro.
