El Liverpool obtiene su vigésimo título de Premier League igualando al Manchester United, tras hacerse con la victoria por 5-1 ante el Tottenham Hotspur. Luis Díaz, Alexis Mac Allister, Cody Gakpo y Salah fueron los goleadores ‘reds’. Udogie se marcó en propia puerta.

Ya es definitivo. El Liverpool es campeón de la Premier League 2024/2025, a falta de cuatro jornadas, tras hacerse la victoria contra el Tottenham Hotspur por 5-1. Arne Slot se corona en su primera temporada con los Reds que igualan al Manchester United como el equipo con más títulos ligueros de toda Inglaterra. El Liverpool vuelve a romper la hegemonía del Manchester City -seis títulos en siete años- y obtiene su primer título después de la ‘Era Klopp’.

Fiesta de goles en Anfield

El Liverpool quiso adelantarse temprano y en el minuto 2, Mohamed Salah tuvo la primera gran ocasión del partido. El egipcio realizó su jugada por excelencia y con un recorte hacia dentro disparó con la pierna izquierda buscando el segundo palo de Vicario. Este fue uno de los primeros avisos del máximo goleador de la Premier League. El siguiente aviso llegó por parte de Gakpo, esta vez, después de un saque de esquina, en el que el holandés sorprendió con una media-tijera que se marchó a un lateral de la portería. Los primeros instantes del partido fueron un reflejo de lo que ocurriría más tarde.

Después de estas ocasiones, llegó la sorpresa del partido. El Liverpool concedió un córner que sacó a la perfección Maddison directo a la cabeza de Dominic Solanke. El delantero inglés introdujo el balón al fondo de las mallas con un cabezazo perfecto. Se adelantaba el Tottenham en Anfield y dejaba al Liverpool sin el título hasta el minuto 15.

Mohamed Salah sacó la varita a relucir y puso un gran pase filtrado a Szoboszlai. El húngaro encontró a Luis Díaz que solo tuvo que empujar el balón. Este empate a uno fue anulado inicialmente por fuera de juego, pero sería el colegiado el que corrigió la situación para que subiera al marcador. Unos minutos después, entre Gakpo, Salah y Luis Díaz se encargaron de realizar el desempate, en una jugada muy parecida a la del 1-1. Sin embargo, esta vez sí que fue anulado correctamente.

El segundo gol fue anulado, pero el tercero no. Archie Gray se durmió en una salida de balón del Tottenham y Gravenberch fue el encargado de recuperar el esférico. El balón llegó a Kevin Mac Allister que resolvió con la pierna izquierda con un golazo por la escuadra. Error grosero del Tottenham que fue celebrado por todo Anfield.

El tercer gol llegó en el minuto 33, de saque de esquina. Cody Gakpo aprovechó un rechace de Bergvall y con dos toques se acomodó el balón a su pierna derecha para seguir animando la fiesta en Anfield. Antes del descanso, Alexander Arnold estuvo cerca de hacer el cuarto gol con una volea que rechazó de cabeza la defensa ‘spur’. El partido se fue al descanso con un Liverpool campeón que siguió metiendo goles en la segunda parte.

Salah no baja los brazos

El Liverpool tardó tres minutos de la segunda parte en crear una nueva gran ocasión. Alexis Mac Allister se abrió paso entre varios jugadores con el balón pegado al pie y se la puso a Cody Gakpo que buscó a Mohamed Salah, sin éxito final. El argentino se mostró muy activo a lo largo del encuentro e intentó buscar otro gol en varias ocasiones.

A pesar de la ventaja de dos goles, el equipo de Arne Slot no bajó los brazos en ningún momento y trataron de aumentar su ventaja hasta el final del partido. Guglielmo Vicario intervino en varias ocasiones, pero no pudo evitar que el Liverpool ampliara su ventaja. Szoboszlai tuvo el quinto gol en sus botas, tras una recuperación de Cody Gakpo. El holandés se la dio a Mohamed Salah que encontró al exjugador del Leipzig que probó con la pierna izquierda. El Liverpool estaba barriendo al Tottenham y no cesó en sus intentos de marcar gol. El quinto llegó en propia meta de Udogie, tras un disparo de Gakpo, que tuvo que ser revisado por el VAR antes de subir al marcador.

Mohamed Salah fue el protagonista en los últimos instantes del encuentro y es que todos sus compañeros intentaron buscarle para que aumentara su racha goleadora. Está a tres goles de convertirse en el jugador que más goles haya provocado en una temporada de la Premier League.
