Un arrollador Newcastle liderado por Harvey Barnes hunde aún más al conjunto de Amorim que no levanta cabeza.

Con el partido finalizado perteneciente a la jornada 32, las Urracas se posicionan cuartos con 56 puntos mientras que los Diablos Rojos descienden a la decimocuarta plaza.

Primera parte

La intensidad propia de los locales estaba presente desde el inicio del encuentro, de hecho se refleja en un gol anulado a Joelinton casi a los 2′ de juego.

El juego de las Urracas ponía entre las cuerdas a los de Old Trafford, estos demostraban inseguridades en la salida de balón y no hallaban la brújula para dirigir los ataques.

Con el transcurso de los minutos, el capitán Bruno demostraba la magia de sus pies, una gran combinación con Zirkzee con pases triangulares de primeras no fueron suficientes para transpasar la red ante una muy buena reacción de Pope.

Pero él no podía hacerlo todo, la ofensiva colectiva de los Magpies seguía causando estragos en la defensa, fruto de su dinámica y posesividad del esférico.

Los contragolpes a los que estaban obligados a recurrir los de Amorim también eran bien bloqueados por el conjunto local, estos últimos no cedían el mínimo de espacio, su superioridad era un hecho.

Las pruebas de ello llegaron en el 24′ con gol de Tonali. Otro error en la salida de balón sería suficiente para que esta vez no perdonaran los Magpies, la presión asfixiante siendo ganadores de duelos les permitía recuperar una vez más el cuero y con un pase picado de Isak hacia Tonali este acabaría batiendo a Bayindir.

La exhibición del Newcastle eclipsaba por completo a sus rivales, Bayindir evitaba una masacre con paradas clave.

Sin embargo cuando más sufría la plantilla de Amorim, Garnacho sacaba a flote a los suyos en el 37′. Una gran recuperación del pivote Ugarte habilitaba al carrilero Dalot para recorrer gran parte del campo y asistir a un extremo argentino bien posicionado para superar a Livramento desde el lado izquierdo del área.

Ya en los últimos minutos la presión de las Urracas cesó, momento que los Red Devils invirtieron los papeles del duelo, aunque su segundo ansiado gol no llegaría.

Segunda parte

Tino Livramento dejaría grandes destellos en esta segunda parte, gracias a él y su virtud velocista, Barnes pondría el 2-1 en el 49′. El lateral ofensivo era el gran responsable del gol pues cedería a Murphy de un lateral a otro a ras del césped y el extremo encontraría solo a Barnes en la frontal del área para empujar con tenacidad la redonda.

La guinda del pastel en estos minutos estuvo marcada por la lesión del ariete Zirkzee tras una carrera forzada.

La efectividad no demostrada en la primera parte quedaría en el olvido, de nuevo el extremo Barnes acomodaría el resultado a 3-1 en el 64′, tras una buena presión a Mazraoui y su posterior pérdida para correr de manera decisiva y superar a la zaga defensiva.

La timidez de los de Old Trafford cada vez se extendía más, su partido fue en picado con los minutos, no había un referente de peligro en el once.

El decepcionante estilo de juego quedaría marcado por otro error garrafal en el 77′, esta vez del portero Bayindir, tras un pésimo saque que consigue asistir de primeras Joelinton con la cabeza habilitando así al capitán ’39’ para batir mano a mano al turco.

A pesar de los cambios establecidos por el técnico portugués el conjunto visitante seguiría sin dejar huella en el partido demostrando la amplia mejoría que es necesaria en el equipo.
