Los rojillos fueron mejores y recibieron la ayuda de un Gil Manzano que se inventó una falta inexistente para no pitar un penalti clamoroso. Pero un gran tiro de falta Januzaj logró la épica en Gran Canaria

Partido loco en el estadio de Gran Canaria, que acabó con el empate con 1 menos de los locales. Un gol de Aimar Oroz adelantaba a Osasuna. Tras el gol, Las Palmas se fue arriba buscando el empate y una polémica decisión del VAR le cortó las alas a los canarios. Si la decisión del VAR dejó a todos los canarios indignados acabó con la roja a Essugo por protestar. Pese a la polémica, Osasuna fue merecedor de llevarse los 3 puntos, pero Januzaj evitaba la victoria de los de Vicente Moreno con un gol de falta en el descuento.

Empezaba el partido con mucha imprecisión y con un Osasuna cada vez mejor. Sin embargo, Moleiro tenía la primera del encuentro, tras una pared con Manu Fuster, pero el disparo se marchaba desviado. En la siguiente jugada Mika Mármol era agarrado en banda y caía en el área, una jugada muy protestada, pero para Gil Manzano no era penalti. Osasuna estaba más cómodo en el partido, pero Las Palmas era quien tenía las ocasiones. La tuvo Fabio Silva que cazó un balón muerto en el área y su disparo fue repelido por la defensa rojilla. Nuevamente, la tenía Fabio Silva en un remate que se envenenó y complicó la vida a Sergio Herrera que no acertaba a atrapar el balón.

Osasuna quería dar también un aviso a los locales y Budimir tuvo dos ocasiones en apenas dos minutos. El ariete croata se marchaba de Cillessen y al intentar tirar a puerta la mando alta al intentar evitar a Álex Suárez. Se salvaba las Palmas y Budimir la tuvo tras una gran combinación entre Moncayola y Aimar Oroz, pero Cillessen evitaba el gol. Tras los sustos, los de Diego Martínez subían el nivel y se asentaban en el campo rojillo. Pese a ello, a la contra la tuvo Osasuna. Kike Barja se iba de fuera a dentro y dejaba un gran disparo que repelía el palo.

En la segunda parte salía Osasuna buscando regresar a la senda de la victoria, tras más de dos meses sin sumar de 3. Budimir volvía a tenerla, tras un gran centro de Areso que remataba desviado el croata. Los rojillos merodeaban el gol y finalmente le acababan encontrando. Budimir y Álex Suárez pugnaban por el balón en el área pequeña y de rebote le caía el balón a Aimar Oroz y no fallaba. Mucho mérito a Areso que puso el balón para Budimir.

Pero, el arreón duro poco y Osasuna se reforzó en defensa para asegurarse los 3 puntos. No cerraba Osasuna el partido con el 0-2 y Las Palmas se volcó en ataque. Y en una falta Januzaj empataba el encuentro con un gran tiro de falta. Un partido muy bonito, que acabó siendo empatado en el descuento con 1 jugador menos de Las Palmas. Uno de los grandes protagonistas fue Gil Manzano que mostró más de 10 cartulinas amarillas.
