Nacho Fernández, canterano y leyenda del Real Madrid, ha concedido una entrevista a El Partidazo de Cope en la que ha repasado la actualidad del club blanco. Eso no me hacía cambiar la idea que tenía en la cabeza. Si me llamaran, yo estoy aquí muy feliz. Me toca sufrir con el Real Madrid como aficionado».
Además ha afirmado que le encantaría que no ficharan a nadie y apostaran por chicos de la casa. «Al final los jugadores de la cantera se va a saber si están preparados si les dan la oportunidad. El otro día Asencio hizo un partido muy bueno. La cantera necesita oportunidades. Si el club y el entrenador son valientes, es el momento perfecto».

Además, ha afirmado que le envió un mensaje de apoyo al futbolista brasileño cuando se conoció el ganador. “Le escribí a Vini y le dije que esto le va a hacer más fuerte. No he visto a ningún jugador que haya sabido sobreponerse a tantas dificultades. Estoy seguro de que lo va a ganar en el futuro”.

“De todos los que ganamos la Eurocopa, el único que se quedó fuera por decisión técnica fui yo. Me extrañó un poco. Desde que ganamos la Eurocopa no he vuelto a hablar con De la Fuente. Me hubiera hecho ilusión ir. Me parece un poco raro. Hay otros compañeros que cambiaron de equipo y de país y sí han seguido yendo.
