El Real Murcia pierden en la Nueva Condomina ante un gran Betis Deportivo que mereció ganar de principio a fin (0-1)

Tras la derrota en el Rico Pérez y el desastre en Copa Federación ante el Sabadell, Fran Fernández presentaba una alineación con muchos cambios. Antxón Jaso era suplente por Esteban Saveljich; Kike Cadete volvía al lateral izquierdo; Yriarte, después de disputar 120 minutos entre semana, titular con Moha; arriba como 9 referencia estaba Alcaina; y Carlos Rojas era el extremo izquierdo tras la baja de Loren Burón.

Rival con autoridad

El Real Murcia tenía enfrente a un equipo que no se iba a hacer pequeño ante más de 10.000 personas. El Betis Deportivo era el que iba a tener la iniciativa en el partido. Los jóvenes del conjunto andaluz demostraron las personalidad que les llevó a ascender la temporada pasada. Tras ver la alineación, el plan de Fran Fernández no estaba llevándose a cabo, no estaban teniendo opciones de crear una posesión y sus atacantes no estaban presionando correctamente. Esto beneficiaba a los blanquiverdes que salían desde atrás con muchas facilidades.

Moha e Yriarte sufrían al no poder abarcar tanto campo. Siempre había un jugador libre del Betis Deportivo y eso hacía que hubiese superioridad andaluza en el centro del campo. Desde la retaguardia no se conseguía sacar el balón jugado. Intentaban salir por banda sin éxito y por dentro no llegaba a aparecer nadie. Juan Carlos Real estaba totalmente aislado, Carlos Rojas no podía acertar de manera individual, Raúl Alcaina desaparecido. Los atacantes estaban desconectados de los demás compañeros del equipo. El Betis seguía teniendo sus oportunidades, más cerca del gol. A falta de 3 minutos para acabar la primera parte, el Real Murcia conseguía tener varias ocasiones, pero el final cortaba el avance grana.

La reacción no apareció

Ningún cambio grana en el descanso y la imagen estaba siendo prácticamente la misma. Debido a esto, entró Toral por Rojas, para revolucionar el partido. El Betis Deportivo asaltaba la Nueva Condomina y el Real Murcia perdía dejando la peor imagen de la temporada en unos últimos siete días complicados.
