Los hombres de Javi Rey, pese a contar con ocasiones peligrosas, no pudieron conseguir los tres primeros puntos de la temporada

Tras muchos meses de espera, preparación e ilusión, comienza una nueva temporada para la Sociedad Deportiva Ponferradina, que se presenta en esta 24-25 con una cara nueva: nuevo entrenador y plantilla preparada para competir en esta Primera Federación, tras una ilusionante pretemporada.

El técnico orensano salió con su sistema más usado la temporada pasada, el 4-2-3-1, para intentar oponer un fútbol vertical. Comenzaba el encuentro con una temprana  ocasión de Cortés que termina yéndose al larguero tras un saque de banda rápido botado por Brais. Durante los primeros minutos se veía una Deportiva bastante renovada, yendo cada vez a más, teniendo otra ocasión clara Ernesto antes del minuto 10.

Los potrillos se adelantan en el marcador

Tras un error en la salida de Thomas Carrique, queda su banda totalmente sola, generando los vascos peligro, golpeando desde fuera del área Mikel Rodríguez al palo largo defendido por Andrés, poniendo el 0-1 a favor de los Txuri-Urdines. Tras el gol, los locales no volvieron a generar peligro, habiendo tenido minutos que no conseguían conectar con los de arriba, estando practicamente desaparecidos.

Yeray Cabanzón al rescate

Javi Rey, en el comienzo de la segunda mitad, movió el banquillo sacando a Lancho en lugar de Andújar y a Yeray en lugar de Borja Valle, en la que el jugador cedido por el Racing de Santander tomó las riendas del equipo generando bastantes ocasiones de peligro. Se veía un Yeray mejorado de la pasada temporada. Los bercianos seguían presionando, pero pese a los robos en su campo y las ocasiones de la Ponferradina, la Real se mostraba férrea en defensa, destacando un gran partido de el central Camara.

 La Ponfe buscaba sin éxito el tanto del empate

Tras varias ocasiones llegaba el primer tanto de la Ponferradina, obra de Cortés, pero el linier señaló fuera de juego. Javi Rey modificó el mediocampo con la entrada de Borja Fernández, llegando las ocasiones mas claras en los últimos minutos de encuentro, en la que Fraga blocó un gran disparo de Cortés, teniendo otra ocasión Borja Fernández que se va a las nubes. La última ocasión la tuvo Álvaro Ramón que consigue parar de nuevo Fraga.

Termina el partido, con la Real llevándose los tres puntos a domicilio del Toralín. Los bercianos disputaran  la segunda jornada de liga contra la Gimnastica Segoviana el próximo domingo 1 de spetiembre a las 19.00 h.
