C.D. Leganés:

Los pepineros llegan con una ilusión de la que no pueden presumir los de Gran Canaria: ser el equipo campeón de LaLiga Hypermotion 23/24 y en efecto, un recién ascendido a LaLiga EA Sports 24/25 que volverá a jugar en su casa y en la máxima categoría del fútbol español 4 temporadas después.

Evidentemente, todos siguen en un periodo de adaptación, pero aún así, la ciudad del sur madrileño está muy ilusionada con todo esto y con la vuelta junto al perdón de un Javi Hernández superlativo, un gran Juan Cruz, el optimismo de la ciudad, del entrenador, de la afición, y para muchos, lo fundamental: el retorno de un emblema en Leganés como es Óscar Rodríguez.

UD Las Palmas:

El conjunto «pío-pío» también tiene argumentos para presumir de más debido a que comparado con los pepineros, mantienen a la gran mayoría de sus jugadores de la temporada 23/24 en la plantilla, y además, lo hacen con una cuadrilla muy profunda en cuanto a cantidad y calidad de peloteros se refiere.

En el archipiélago, destacan por encima de los demás las recientes incorporaciones de los escoceses Oli McBurnie y Steve McKenna. En añadidura, tienen cracks muy importantes como Alberto Moleiro, Kirian Rodríguez, Loiodice.

Por último, ambos clubes encarará el difícil reto de tres jornadas en tan solo 7 días y con un partido intersemanal (los visitantes ante el Real Madrid). Si nos centramos en las pretemporadas, los de Luis Carrión salen perdiendo con 1 victoria, 3 empates y 2 derrotas. Por parte de Borja Jiménez, ellos cuentan con 2 victorias, 3 empates, y una derrota. Esas 2 batallas ganadas pepineras, son la semifinal y la final del Trofeo Teresa Herrera con el que se alzaron a principios de agosto ante el Real Oviedo y el Deportivo de la Coruña respectivamente.

Tras estos 6 amistosos de cada conjunto, llegó este 16 y 17 de agosto el arranque de LaLiga EA Sports para ambos. Los que jugarán hoy de locales, lo hacían el pasado sábado en El Sadar, frente a el CA Osasuna. En dicho enfrentamiento, comenzarían y se irían al túnel de vestuarios ganando por la mínima por un tanto del ex-verdiblanco hispano-argentino de Quilmes.

En estos instantes, la euforia pepinera era una éxtasis total, aunque no acabaría del todo bien, ya que el Lega bajaría el ritmo por la poca capacidad física del 60′ hasta el final y  los de Vicente Moreno, responderían empatando el encuentro con gol de Aimar Oroz y acabando en tablas con sabor agridulce para blanquiazules y rojillos.

Los que se presentaran como visitantes antes del anochecer del 25 de agosto, el viernes 16 lo hacían en casa, en Las Palmas de Gran Canaria. Se vieron las caras ante el Sevilla, y previsiblemente, con un 2-2 parece a simple vista que debería haber mucho por resaltar del partido, pero no es así, porque éste estuvo marcado por los autogoles y los graves y brutos errores defensivos de los del ex-técnico ovetense y el que era el míster de los pío-pío antes de marcharse al club hispalense.
