Inglaterra y Eslovenia clasifican a los octavos de final de la Eurocopa 2024 tras un partido en el que ninguno estuvo acertado

Inglaterra y Eslovenia se enfrentaban en la noche del martes en la última jornada del Grupo C de la Eurocopa.

Ambos equipos se jugaban la clasificación para los octavos de final.

Primer tiempo sin intensidad

El partido empezó sin un claro dominador, Inglaterra no ha conseguido dominar plenamente al conjunto esloveno, que pudo disfrutar de algún acercamiento aunque sin demasiado peligro.

En el minuto 20 Foden le ganaba la espalda a la defensa, que daba un pase para que Saka rematase a placer. Saka convirtió pero el gol no subiría al marcador por fuera de juego de Foden en el inicio de la jugada.

Inglaterra intentaba hacer daño con disparos lejanos de y con balón parado,pero Oblak se encargaba de evitar el gol inglés.

En los últimos minutos, Eslovenia consiguió tener más tiempo la posesión, y poco a poco, se sentía más cómoda frente a la incapacidad de Inglaterra de crear peligro.

Inglaterra lo intenta y Eslovenia aguanta

El segundo tiempo, comenzó con una tónica distinta. Inglaterra salió al terreno de juego con más intensidad que en el primer acto del encuentro, consiguiendo así encerrar a Eslovenia cerca de su portería.

Con el paso de los minutos aparecieron los primeros errores en las defensas, primero Guehi y después Jaka Bijol, ambos sancionados con amarilla tras frustrar una acción prometedora.

En los últimos minutos Inglaterra intentó marcar con cambios en ataque. En el minuto 92 Cole palmer tuvo una ocasión clara pero su definición no sería buena y Oblak lo detuvo sin problema.

Inglaterra se clasifica como primera y Eslovenia pasa a octavos como tercera de grupo.
