España culmina una fase de grupos de pleno y más que sobresaliente

La selección española firma un nuevo triunfo y gana por la mínima eliminando a Albania para clasificarse como primera de grupo con 9/9 puntos a los octavos de final

Primera Parte

Los de Luis de la Fuente empezaron otro encuentro más dominando, ya que cruzaban la línea del centro del campo, sumaban pases y esperaban a enfriar un poco al ímpetu albano; que esperaba pacientemente mostrando en los primeros instantes un buen nivel. No tardaría España en activar la artillería pesada, puesto a que en los minutos 11′ y 12′, llegaría una doble oportunidad de «La Roja» que serían las dos primeras del partido.

Lo protagonizarían Mikel Merino y Joselu. El veterano Jesús Navas se la centraría al mediocampista vasco y picándola de cabeza llegaría abajo el guardameta albanés Strakosha. A los 30 segundos, el ariete por el momento madridista remataría sin éxito un balón que se iría justo por arriba del larguero.

De hecho, no sería una doble ocasión, sino triple porque en el 13′ con un gran pase de Dani Olmo entre líneas para el desmarque de Ferrán Torres, el extremo culé con orígenes valencianistas abriría el marcador en Düsseldorf con una España que jugaba en esos primeros de manera impecable ante una Albania apagada y sin mucho optimismo para tratar de  colarse en la fase eliminatoria.

Sobre el minuto 30′, ya pasado el primer tercio del encuentro, seguían los albaneses sin hallar el modo de pasar del centro del campo. El inicio de los de Sylvinho no estaba siendo tan malo, sin embargo, perdería poco a poco esa fuerza de los primeros 10 minutos y apenas llegarían cerca de David Raya en la primera mitad.

Justo antes de que finalizaran los primeros 45 minutos, Ferrán y Joselu tuvieron 1 acercamiento peligroso cada uno. El tiro del ex-citizen por arriba y el del ‘9’ de 34 años rozando el palo derecho del portero albanés. Por último, los rojinegros se mantuvieron en su línea: sin balón y sin tener ni una ocasión salvo un gran zapatazo en el 44′ de Asllani desde la frontal que acabaría en un paradón del portero barcelonés.

Segunda parte

A los 2 minutos de que el árbitro diera el pitido inicial de la segunda mitad, Joselu tuvo una gran ocasión en el 47′ que tras un buen centro de Grimaldo se consumió en un remate acrobático que casi terminó en un golazo rozando el larguero albanés.

Cuando a la batalla entre españoles y albaneses le quedaba 30 minutos, la selección comandada por el técnico riojano presionaba pero tranquila y manteniendo siempre la posesión del balón. Un poco antes del 70′, Sylvinho optó por subir las líneas y el resultado fue 2 grandes llegadas a zona de 3/4 de los suyos y que el encuentro se desatara algo más por algunos instantes.

Para concluir, en los 15 minutos finales el cuero estuvo muy repartido entre ambos países, no obstante, «La Roja» proseguía con sus destellos y con más ocasiones que el conjunto albanés. En el descuento, Albania intentó empatar a la desesperada pero sin mucha pena ni mucha gloria se agotaron sus opciones cuando el electrónico se consumía hasta el pitido final del juez.

La cuadrilla rojinegra de Sylvinho careció de intensidad, y desgraciadamente para ellos, quedan eliminados como la última del grupo «B» y se despiden de una Eurocopa 2024 en la que tendrán que ver las eliminatorias desde casa.
