El Levante UD continúa una jornada más en su afán de quemar sus últimos cartuchos en LaLiga Hypermotion para intentar entrar en el playoff de ascenso a Primera División. Tras su empate por 2-2 con la SD Eibar la semana pasada, su situación es la siguiente: el conjunto granota está undécimo con 56 puntos, a cinco del sexto clasificado.

Las cábalas no son sencillas y todo lo que no sea una victoria mañana a las 21:00h en Elda podría dejar al Levante sin opciones reales de seguir luchando por el playoff. En este momento, los de Felipe Miñambres han de recortar cinco puntos de nueve posibles que quedan para poder cumplir con su objetivo. Grado de optimismo

No es optimismo. Independientemente de lo que pase, tenemos que ir a ganar porque en el fútbol pasan cosas extrañas. Tenemos que hacer lo que tenemos que hacer. A partir de ahí, es más fácil para la mente pensar en negativo. Lo entiendo, porque nuestro porcentaje de poder entrar en playoff es menor. Lo que tenemos que hacer es tratar de ganar los tres partidos. Después, si las cosas no se dan, no será por estos tres partidos. Será por el cómputo general de la temporada. Me agrada que se hayan apuntado muchos aficionados a ir a Elda».

Creer que se puede

«Soy un soñador. Sueño cosas que a veces se dan y otras veces no. Esa ilusión cada semana se va desvaneciendo pero también cada lunes o cada martes se reactiva porque lo veo posible y veo cosas buenas. A mí siempre me ha gustado más soñar que rendirme. Para que los sueños se cumplan hay que esforzarse al máximo y conseguir la victoria. No podemos ir a decir «ya está, se acabó». Después veremos si se puede seguir luchando por el objetivo».

Ánimo del equipo

«Están bien. Si uno no es feliz siendo futbolista… vamos mal. Te pagan bien, te exhibes ante tus aficionados… ser futbolista es muy bonito. Deben estar felices de estar en un club como el Levante y una ciudad como Valencia. Luego hay que dar la cara y hay que dar el máximo».

«Ángel Algobia y Óscar Clemente han entrenado bien ya todos los días. Están a disposición y estamos contentos de poder contar con todos quitando Iván Romero».

Goleadores

«Hemos fallado bastantes goles. A veces estás mejor, a veces estás peor. Estoy seguro de que somos de los equipos que más goles metemos en la categoría. Uno espera los goles de los delanteros, pero también tenemos la virtud de que podemos hacer gol desde cualquier parte del equipo. Este año ha habido más goles de centrales y centrocampistas. Me ha preocupado más cuando hemos perdido y hemos tenido muchas ocasiones de gol».

Futuro entrenador

«Lo que queremos todos es ganar y tener un equipo que le guste a la gente. Aquí se demanda una serie de cosas por historia. Lo importante es que los aficionados se vean representados por el equipo. Queremos ser un equipo alegre, competitivo y que trate de superar al rival. Lo más importante es que peleemos por los objetivos en los que queremos estar el año que viene. Trataremos de traer un buen técnico que nos haga mejores en todos los aspectos».

«No voy a hablar de cifras. Lo que se ha hablado sobre su salida es mentira y no tiene ningún sentido. No sé si quiere blanquear una futura vuelta. Él tomó la decisión de irse y eso tiene unas consecuencias. No entiendo por qué mentir en una decisión tan clara. Morales es suficiente mayor como para entender que tomó una decisión que le abría la puerta en un sitio y molestó en otro. No nos pueden hacer responsables de algo que es mentira».

Posible vuelta de Morales

«Él acaba contrato y a partir de ahí veremos qué pasa. De momento no he tenido conversaciones ni con él ni con su agente. No creo que sea momento ahora para hablar de Morales o de otros tantos nombres que surgirán. Si vuelve, habrá gente que lo quiera y que otra que no. Si no viene, algunos nos matarán por no haberlo traído y otros estarán contentos. No puede estar fichado Morales sin el OK del director deportivo».
