Saltaban al césped del Cerro del Espino dos equipos en situaciones muy parecidas debido a que ninguno de los 2 equipos traía una racha positiva, pero en diferentes partes en la clasificación, ya que el Rayo Majadahonda era colista y la Ponferradina se situaba en la 5º posición cerrando los puestos de playoff.
