Tras el último entrenamiento del Atlético de Madrid antes de viajar a Villarreal, Simeone compadeció frente los medios de comunicación

El conjunto colchonero vuelve al ruedo tras el parón de selecciones con una visita muy complicada. Los de Simeone tendrán que hacer un gran partido para cortar la mala racha de resultados fuera de casa y vencer en La Cerámica tres años después. En este sentido, el técnico argentino analizó el enfrentamiento y el estado en el que se encuentran sus jugadores.

El encuentro frente al Villarreal

Simeone es consciente de las complicaciones que tiene el equipo para sacar los encuentros lejos del Metropolitano. Es por ello que se muestra consciente de la situación: «A falta de nueve fechas es difícil plantear el partido de mañana, lo planteamos desde lo que hay, hay que mejorar e intentar hacer las cosas bien fuera de casa. Mañana tenemos un partido complicado con un rival que tiene un entrenador que sabe a lo que juega».

Sobre el parón de selecciones

A todo técnico le preocupa el estado en el que llegan los futbolistas internacionales, por eso Simeone se ha mostrado agradecido de no haber sufrido ninguna baja: «El calendario nos ha llevado a jugar el lunes, los futbolistas han vuelto bien de sus selecciones y hemos trabajado con muchas ganas con los que se quedaron aquí».

Esta Semana Santa ha dejado una noticia inmejorable en el Atlético de Madrid, la renovación de su capitán. Respecto a esto, Simeone destacó la importancia de Koke para su equipo: «Lo conocemos desde muy chico, hemos tenido la suerte de acompañarlo en todo su crecimiento, es muy importante para el equipo, ojalá nos siga ayudando».

Poca participación de Vermeeren

Los escasos minutos que está teniendo el jugador belga desde su llegada no han pasado de desapercibidos en los aficionados. Sobre esto, Simeone volvió a aclarar el momento en el que se encuentra el jugador: «Llegó en un momento con muchos partidos sin poder entrenar, tiene algo importante que es querer mejorar, se adaptó con humildad y nos va a ayudar seguro en el momento en el que podamos acompañarlo. Hay que darle la confianza que se necesita para tener continuidad en LaLiga. Tiempo y paciencia, sabemos que hay un buen futbolista».

En el último partido de la Selección Española se vivió un caso muy notorio con la pitada que recibió el delantero español al ser sustituido. Simeone, sin entrar en polémicas, expresó su opinión: «Seguro que lo que a Álvaro le llegará a la cabeza es estar más motivado para cambiar esos silbidos por aplausos. Es un jugador muy importante para nosotros, estas situaciones te dan más ganas de hacer las cosas bien».

El fútbol español sigue sumergido en las polémicas relacionadas con el racismo, siendo algo inadmisible en la sociedad actual y que todos deberíamos denunciar, al igual que Simeone: «Depende de todos, no depende de una persona sola, de la sociedad. Necesitamos mejorar todos».
