Manchester City visitó el Vitality Stadium y enfrentó al dueño de casa, el Bournemouth. Los Cherries se mostraron fuertes ante el equipo que vistió de blanco. Debido a eso, el City tuvo que acrecentar sus intenciones y estar atento en todo momento. Al final, tras el gol de Foden en 24´, el Manchester City terminó ganando por uno a cero.

EL EQUIPO CIUDADANO SACÓ PROVECHO DE SU SUPERIORIDAD EN LA PRIMERA PARTE

El Manchester City comenzó moviendo el balón en campo local. El Bournemouth presionaba y buscaba cerrar los espacios. Posteriormente recuperaba y replicaba. Los locales tenían la intención de tornar incómodo al encuentro y, de tal manera, que el Manchester City no progrese. Sin embargo, el Bournemouth, al instalar esas ideas, corría el riesgo de ser superado en algún contragolpe. A casusa de lo mencionado, Haaland casi puso el primero en 8´ minutos.

El duelo empezó a tomar otro rumbo a partir de los 24’. Como se estaba mencionando, el City continuó insistiendo. Y tras varios merodeos, llegó al primer tanto mediante Phil Foden. Los ciudadanos tuvieron una mínima chance y le sacaron el mayor provecho. Luego del tanto en contra, el Bournemouth buscó dar seguimiento a sus ideas, pero se le hacía cuesta arriba esa intención. El conjunto dirigido por Guardiola creció luego del gol hecho por Foden y no cedía el esférico.

Y así se fue la primera parte. Manchester City se hizo fuerte con el correr de los minutos y conservó su favor la victoria parcial.

LOS CHERRIES MEJORARON EN LA SEGUNDA PARTE, PERO NO LOGRARON EMPATAR

Bournemouth quiso imprimir cierta intensidad para empatar en el principio de la parte complementaria. Pero la posesión del Manchester City estaba en medio de eso y debido a esas circunstancias, a los Cherries se les hacía esquivo el empate en la mayoría de los momentos.

En 60´ de juego continuaba hilando secuencias el City. Los de Guardiola hacían emerger sus acciones con el objetivo de liquidar el choque. Por otra parte, Bournemouth trataba de seguir en partido, pero no contaba con la suficiente jerarquía en ese pasaje como para encontrar la paridad.

A partir de los 70´ hubo cierta mejoría por parte del Bournemouth. Y en ese trajín se estaba dejando en visto un buen parado del Manchester City. El uno a cero parecía perder fuerzas en 76´ y daba la sensación de que se podrían desencadenar diversas conclusiones. Es por eso que, ambos conjuntos, estaban siendo intensos en sus participaciones.

Ya en los últimos minutos creció una cierta tendencia. Manchester City conservaba el balón por unos instantes. Y en otros momentos, el Bournemouth recuperaba la pelota y pasaba rápidamente al ataque. Lo que acontecía con el equipo local era que no conseguía administrar correctamente sus ataques. 

Es así como el Manchester City  tuvo la solvencia necesaria como para que predomine su jerarquía y termine venciendo por uno a cero de visitante.

Con esta victoria el Manchester City va a 59 puntos, mientras que el Bournemouth queda con 28 puntos.

En la próxima fecha los Cherries jugarán ante el Burnley, mientras que el City recibirá al Manchester United.
