Lo mas destacable del partido el debut del canterano Selton Sanchez que se estrena en la catedral y el buen nivel de Nico Williams. El Athletic fue superior ante un Oviedo que con el cambio de entrenador no ha conseguido todavía ninguna victoria.

Unai Simon (5)= Portería a cero del guardameta rojiblanco pero que sigue sin conseguir dar seguridad a la portería de San Mames, la anulación del gol del Oviedo por milímetros le salvo de su clamuroso error.
Andoni Gorosabel (6)= Partido solido para el lateral que no tuvo demasiado trabajo pero que no llego a estar preciso del todo ni en ataque ni en defensa.
Aymeric Laporte (8)= El mejor de la defensa en el partido de hoy, le filtró un pase a Nico Williams que luego se invento un golazo, pero aparte de eso fue un muro en defensa impidiendo cualquier tipo de peligro rival.
Dani Vivian (6.5)= Buen partido para el teniente pero que todavía no logra tener el nivel mostrado la temporada pasada, aun así buen partido y portería cero.
Yuri Berchiche (6)= Al igual que Gorosabel no ha sido el partido con mas trabajo para el capitán pero fue solido en defensa sin permitir ningún tipo de susto en defensa.
Iñigo Ruiz de Galarreta (7.5)= El Athletic llevo la batuta del medio del campo del partido en el tiempo que Galarreta estuvo en el campo marcando los tiempos del partido. No jugará el próximo partido ante el Barcelona por sanción al ver la quinta amarilla.
Mikel Jauregizar (6.5)= Otros 90 minutos demostrando ser el hombre de confianza para Valverde siendo un fijo en todo los onces, cortó varios balones y merodeó en ocasiones el área asturiana.
Alex Berenguer (7)= Afianzado en la banda derecha rojiblanca puso buenos balones al área y tuvo una gran ocasión que no pudo resolver en el mano a mano contra Aaron Escandell.
Nico Williams (8)= Gol marca de la casa de la estrella del Athletic que tras ausentarse en el encuentro europeo llegó justo para mostrar su mejor nivel inventándose un absoluto golazo.
Selton Sanchez (7)= Debut para el katxorro que se estrena también en un once, muchísimo desparpajo sacando detalles que mostraban su gran talento técnico en el juego combinativo con rabona incluida. Consiguió ganarse al público de San Mames siendo ovacionado cuando fue sustituido
Gorka Guruzeta (6)= Partido decente del delantero donostiarra que realizó varios tiros a puerta no consiguió marcar y acabó el partido con varias imprecisiones antes de ser sustituido.
CAMBIOS
Unai Gomez (5)= Ingresó en 64’; Entró por el debutante Selton Sanchez y mostró su lado mas bregador pero no consiguió ninguna acción clave.
Alejandro Rego (5.5)= Ingresó en el 72’; Entró por Galarreta. El canterano sigue sumando experiencia en primera división mostrando buen nivel que pudo poner un broche de oro con un disparo que se le fue fuera tras una recuperación suya.
Robert Navarro (6)= Ingresó en 72’; Entró por Nico Williams. Cada minuto que juega Robert Navarro da una sensación de frescura en el ataque que necesita mucho el Athletic, sin tener mucho tiempo consiguió destacar.
Nico Serrano (N/C)= Ingresó en 84’.
Mikel Vesga (N/C)= Ingresó en 84’.
DT. Ernesto Valverde= Por fin consiguió el Athletic sumar de tres en un partido solido que estuvo a punto de quedarse manchado por un fallo de Unai Simón pero que por suerte para el guardameta la jugada fue anulada por un fuera de juego milimétrico.
Robert Navarro (7)= Otra buena actuación del fichaje del Athletic que se esta ganando a pulso afianzarse en el once inicial. Gol contra su ex-equipo pero que no fue suficiente para conseguir sacar algo de Anoeta.
