Un partido que parecía controlado por los locales, puso algo de picante en el descuento cuando el Cacereño recortó distancias y los morados jugaban con uno menos. Finalmente, la victoria se quedó en Guadalajara que ahora espera a su siguiente rival.
Contexto
Guadalajara vuelve ha disfrutar de la Copa del Rey 3 años después. La última vez que el club arriacense disputó esta competición fue en la temporada 2022/23. En aquella ocasión el Dépor era un recién ascendido a Segunda RFEF e hizo un gran papel en esta competición disputando su última eliminatoria contra el Elche, que, entonces, competía en Primera División. Hoy, Martes 28 de octubre el Pedro Escartín vuelve a disfrutar de esta maravillosa competición y se mide contra un viejo conocido, el CP Cacereño.
Cerca del centenar de personas extremeñas se han desplazado para acompañar a su equipo y, en el caso de los locales son casi 3.000 los que no se han querido perder este partido en directo.
Primera parte
Arrancó el partido en Guadalajara con un Dépor muy metido y con ganas de darle una alegría a su afición. Los primeros minutos, el conjunto local consiguió hacerse con la posesión y se pudo apreciar una mayor claridad con el balón en su juego que en el rival. En este sentido, el Cacereño apostó por un juego más directo, buscando constantemente la espalda de la defensa morada. No obstante, tanto Víctor como Gallardo se mostraron muy seguros corriendo hacia atrás.
A pesar de que el dominio era del equipo local, fueron los extremeños quienes pisaron área con verdadero peligro por primera vez. La intensidad del partido no frenaba y, un suspiro después, el delantero del cacereño le ganó la posición a Gallardo, el central arriacense, quien agarró descaradamente a su rival dentro del área y el árbitro no dudó en señalar la pena máxima. Con un centro lateral, el extremo visitante regateó a su defensor dentro del área y sacó un disparo claro que se estrelló contra el lateral de la portería local, provocando alguna celebración de gol en la afición extremeña y un nudo en la garganta de los alcarreños.
Con el susto en el cuerpo y un marcador a favor que defender, el CD Guadalajara se mostraba algo más impreciso y precipitado de lo normal. Esto obligo a su entrenador, Pere Martí a mover el banquillo en busca de estabilidad. La presión que sugiere una eliminatoria se hacía notar y saltaron las chispas en el Pedro Escartín con varios encontronazos entre los jugadores.
