El míster del conjunto rayista comparte su opinión sobre temas como el rival, el partido de Conference o el nivel físico del equipo antes de enfrentarse al Alavés, en un partido en el que el Rayo busca obtener su primera victoria como local en liga.
El Alavés: «Veo un equipo difícil de batir, con mucha energía, bien organizado. Sabemos que es de los equipos menos goleados entonces esperamos un partido complicado».

Sobre las porterías a cero: «Cuando no se puede garantizar que todos los días vayas a marcar, encajar un gol puede generar nerviosismo. Para mí priorizo el ataque y después defender tu portería».
Sobre el aspecto emocional: «Me gusta ayudar a los jugadores en lo emocional, el fútbol es mucho más mental que físico o técnico. Están muy exigidos en muchos aspectos y tienen que aprender a gestionar lo emocional».
Ratiu: «Tiene diferentes situaciones que le motivan, hay un desencuentro con el club, cosas normales en el fútbol ya que cada uno mira por sus intereses. Creo que está cogiendo de nuevo esa brillantez y no le veo tan desmotivado como se comenta».
La afición del Rayo: «Me siento en deuda con ellos, creo que no hacemos todo lo que la afición hace por nosotros. Pienso en devolverles a nivel de resultados, que creo que lo estamos consiguiendo, y a nivel emocional que vengan al campo y vean algo que les guste».
