El extremo procedente del Valencia CF llega a Zorrilla cedido hasta final de temporada, sin opción de compra
El Real Valladolid ha cerrado a falta de 3 minutos para el cierre de mercado una incorporación de peso para su frente ofensivo. Sergi Canós (Nules, 1997) jugará esta temporada en Zorrilla en calidad de cedido, tras el acuerdo alcanzado entre el conjunto blanquivioleta y el club ché. La operación no incluye opción de compra, por lo que a final de temporada regresará a la ciudad del Turia.
Canós, formado en la cantera del Barcelona y con paso por la academia del Liverpool, dio el salto profesional en el Brentford inglés, donde se consolidó como un jugador eléctrico, vertical y con capacidad de desborde. Más tarde, regresó a LaLiga para militar en el Valencia y, recientemente, vivió una etapa en el Olympiacos griego. Ahora, a sus 28 años, afronta un nuevo reto en el José Zorrilla, donde se espera que aporte desequilibrio por banda, gol y carácter competitivo.
Canós se unirá en el ataque a jugadores como Biuk, Amath, Chuki o al recién llegado Peter Federico, conformando un abanico de opciones que refuerza las aspiraciones de un Valladolid que ha arrancado la temporada con el objetivo claro de luchar por el ascenso.
Si el rendimiento acompaña, la llegada de Canós puede convertirse en pieza clave del proyecto para el ansiado ascenso. De momento, el extremo castellonense ya es blanquivioleta, listo para debutar cuanto antes en el césped de Zorrilla.
